On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, REMOW informed Sportskeeda Anime via email correspondence about Tougen Anki anime's July 2025 premiere with a new key visual, trailer, additional cast members, and more. Studio HIBARI will be handling the animation.

Tougen Aniki, written and illustrated by Yura Urushibara, is a Japanese manga series that began serializing in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in June 2020. The franchise launched the "TOUGEN ANKI Project" in June 2023 and announced its anime adaptation in May 2024.

On January 7, 2025, REMOW announced that Tougen Anki anime will premiere in July 2025. This was unveiled with a new key visual and trailer as the anime adaptation is set to be handled by Studio HIBARI.

The newly unveiled key visual features main characters Shiki Ichinose, Jin Kougasaki, and Naito Mudano. All three characters can be seen unleashing their Oni powers known as "Blood Eclipse Release." The striking contrast between the red “Oni blood” and the teal night sky illuminated by a full moon in the background creates a dark hero vibe.

As for the new trailer, it primarily spotlights Shiki Ichinose's classmates from the oni school Rasetsu Academy, giving viewers a glimpse of the additional characters and a preview of their voices. Besides that, the trailer also gave fans a glimpse of the action set to be featured in the anime.

As for the additional voice cast members, Homare Byobugaura will be voiced by Manaka Iwami. She has previously voiced Akane Kurokawa in Oshi no Ko and Mirai Shishiou in Dr. Stone. Ikari Yaoroshi will be voiced by Shogo Sakata. He has previously voiced Sasaki Karin in Fire Force and Aki Hayakawa in Chainsaw Man.

Joining them are Natsuki Hanae as Juji Yusurube and Kaito Miura as Rokuro Kiriyama. Natsuki Hanae has previously voiced Kamado Tanjiro in Demon Slayer and Shen Xiang in Undead Unluck. Meanwhile, Rokuro Kiriyama will be Kaito Miura's first role as a voice actor.

Lastly, Aimi will voice Kuina Sazanami. She has previously voiced Kasumi Toyama in BanG Dream! and Yuuko Ozawa in Jujutsu Kaisen.

The anime will be helmed by Director Ato Nonaka at Studio HIBARI.
