The 90-second main trailer for Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League saw Batman return to present-day Gotham from medieval Japan. However, the unusual phenomenon followed him. The trailer opened with a mysterious Yakuza storm warning that saw countless Yakuza falling above Gotham City from the island of Japan that appeared in the sky.

Green Lantern, Aquaman, and The Flash, previously members of the Justice League, have also turned into Yakuza and face off against Batman, who tries taking down the Yakuza that have occupied the city
