Wistoria: Wand and Sword season 2 has been green-lit for production. This was confirmed by the anime's official staff with an announcement PV and visual after the season 1 finale on Sunday, September 29, 2024. However, the staff has yet to specify the release information for the sequel.

The Wistoria: Wand and Sword anime is based on the eponymous fantasy manga series written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Toshi Aoi. Omori-san, noted for his Danmachi light novels, launched the manga series on Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in December 2020. Kodansha's K Manga service serializes the manga in English.

On Sunday, September 29, 2024, the official website and X account for the hit fantasy series shared an announcement visual and PV to confirm the production of Wistoria: Wand and Sword season 2. The announcement came right after the show's season 1 finale. However, no release information was disclosed.

The 13-second-long promotional video features the iconic scenes and main cast from the first season and the season 2 announcement illustration. Toshi Aoi, the manga's illustrator, has drawn the visual, which features Will Serfort, Finn, and the Mysterious Mages—Headless and Marze.

A comment from the author, Fujino Omori, has also arrived. Omori-san has assured fans that the tale of the Wand and Sword will continue. As such, he has urged fans to continue supporting the series.

The anime stars Kohei Amasaki as Will Serfort, Akira Sekine as Elfaria Albis Serfort, Satomi Amano as Colette Loire, Aoi Inase as Kiki, Lynn as Lihanna Owenzaus, Masaaki Mizunaka as Sion Ulster, Mutsumi Tamura as Finn, Tetsuya Kakihara as Julius Reinberg, and others.

Under the production of Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures, season 1 debuted on July 7, 2024.

Tatsuya Yoshihara directed and supervised the scripts, while Sayaka Ono designed the characters as the chief animation director. Yuki Hayashi composed the anime's music.

Since the latest season covered the manga up to chapter 19, Wistoria: Wand and Sword season 2 will likely pick up the adaptation from chapter 20 onwards. In other words, fans can expect the sequel to cover the Graduation Finals Arc and the Blooming Festival Arc, especially if it features the same number of episodes as season 1.

As such, Wistoria: Wand and Sword season 2 will showcase the events of the Terminalia, the day when the Magia Vanders rebuild the false sky, i.e., the barrier, to protect the world from evil. Will Serfort's growth as the unifier of the Wand and Sword will be the season's primary highlight.
