Yakuza Fiancé anime reveals first trailer, additional cast, and more ahead of October 2024 premiere

On Thursday, August 15, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of Yakuza Fiancé anime shared the first promotional video and revealed two new cast members for the series. Additionally, the staff shared details regarding the show's ending theme song. The anime is set to premiere in October 2024 on Tokyo MX and BS11 channels in Japan.

Produced by Studio DEEN, the Yakuza Fiancé anime is an adaptation of Asuka Konishi's manga series of the same name. Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine has been serializing the manga series since August 2017, publishing eight tankobon volumes thus far.

Yakuza Fiancé anime is set to debut in October 2024

The official staff for the Yakuza Fiancé anime streamed the first full-length trailer on Thursday, August 15, 2024, ahead of the show's premiere in October 2024. The anime will be broadcast on Tokyo MX and BS11 channels in Japan. International fans can stream the series on Crunchyroll.

Notably, the promotional video features the main heroine, Yoshino Somei, the protagonist, Kirishima Miyama, and other important characters. The short clip showcases the first meeting between Yoshino and Kirishima and teases the latter's actual nature. Interestingly, the video includes the characters' voices.

Aside from the PV, the official staff has announced two new cast members for the Yakuza Fiancé anime. Hiroshi Kamiya stars as Azami Suo, a mysterious man who appears before Miyama while looking for Yoshino. Azami is described as a character who can take out an entire Yakuza office by himself.

On the other hand, Koji Yusa, the voice actor renowned for playing Gin Ichimaru from Bleach, plays the role of Toriashi Shoma, described as an adopted son of the Somei Group's boss, Renji Somei. He's also Yoshino's old friend, who's like a family.

Comments from the voice actors have arrived on the anime's official website, where they revealed how excited they are to play the respective roles. Commenting on the characters, Koji-san feels that while Shoma may not appear a friendly person, he is filled with strong feelings.

Likewise, Hiroshi Kamiya points out Azami's charm. These new voice actors will join the previously announced cast members, who are Akira Ishida as Kirishima Miyama, and Hitomi Ueda as Yoshino Somei. More cast members will be announced in the future.

Besides the new cast members, the website and X account for the Yakuza Fiancé anime revealed that Yoshino will perform Nani Wararotonnen, the show's ending theme song. The opening theme is yet to be revealed.

Toshifumi Kawase directs the series at Studio DEEN, with Rika Takasugi in charge of the scripts. Itsuko Takeda, renowned for his contributions to Black Clover, is credited as the character designer. Masato Suzuki and Hiroaki Tsutsumi are credited as the music composers.

Based on Asuka Konishi's seinen manga, Yakuza Fiancé anime follows Yoshino Somei, the daughter of an Osaka-based Yakuza family, who gets engaged to Kirishima Miyama, the son of a Yakuza family from Tokyo after a merger.

Although Kirishima appears amicable at first, Yoshino discovers his dark side. The anime will showcase the Yakuza family's politics and Yoshino-Kirishima's unique bond.
