Yandere Dark Elf anime announced for 2025

Based on Nakano Sora's fantasy manga series, Yandere Dark Elf anime has been green-lit for production by the official staff on Thursday, September 5, 2024. According to the announcement, the anime will premiere in 2025.

WWWAVE Corporation's new Deregula anime label is in charge of the production. However, as of this writing, no details regarding the cast and staff have been revealed for this television anime adaptation.

Nakano Sora launched the fantasy manga series on Takeshobo's Web Comic Gamma Plus website in September 2021. Takeshobo has released three tankobon volumes under the Bamboo Comics imprint thus far.

On the other hand, Seven Seas Entertainment has acquired the rights to publish the series in English under the Ghost Ship imprint. The first volume will be released on October 8, 2024.

Yandere Dark Elf anime to debut in 2025

On Thursday, September 5, 2024, the official X account for Nakano Sora's manga series tweeted the production decision for the Yandere Dark Elf anime. The staff revealed that the fantasy anime will premiere in 2025. However, a narrower release date has yet to be disclosed.

As mentioned, WWWave Corporation's new anime label, Deregula, is responsible for the anime's production. The company launched the anime label in June 2023 to produce anime titles.

WWWave plans to release four new titles a year under the Deregula label, and Yandere Dark Elf anime happens to be the label's debut project. Information regarding the cast and staff will be revealed later.

Notably, the official X handle for the manga series has also shared a comment from Nakano Sona, who is ecstatic about the Yandere Dark Elf anime adaptation. The author's comments in Japanese, when translated into English, read as follows:

"I started out drawing [Yandere Dark Elf] in a doujinshi, and as the author, I'm the most surprised that it's been made into an anime, but I'm also really happy!! Even after the meetings about the anime adaptation started, I was skeptical for a while, wondering, 'is it really going to be made into an anime? Is it just a prank'"

The author adds:

"But thanks to the staff's hard work to bring you se*xy and cute Bell and the others, I'm now looking forward to seeing Bell and Hinata really move and talk! I hope that both those who have read the original work and those who haven't can enjoy the anime..."

Although an official synopsis for the Yandere Dark Elf anime hasn't been released, the show will likely follow the narrative written by Nakano Sora. The manga follows a love comedy story about a high school student Hinata, who gets reincarnated as a hero in another world. Interestingly, he returns to the real world and begins to live with his former friend, Mariabelle, a dark elf who adores him.
