The party led by Ysha arrives at the Dritten Cathedral, where they notice Wolff pinned to the wall, with Yuriko below him. The Fallen Angel of Greed rebukes the party for interfering in her conversation with the Archmagus. She uses her Divine Gift to send undead skeletons at them.

While Ysha, Annette, and others parry the skeletons' onslaught, their sheer numbers prove a stiff match. Eventually, Ysha asks Yuriko why she wants to harm Wolff, her former teacher. A flashback reveals that Yuriko's Divine Gift wasn't suited for combat at first.

Yet, she wanted to show Wolff that she could defeat the Demon King with her powers. The Archmagus sincerely taught Yuriko until one day, when a certain girl appeared. Wolff was impressed by that girl's Divine Gift and thought she could destroy the Demon King.

Yuriko felt she was neglected. Driven by jealousy, she awakened her actual powers and sent the girl to the pits. At present, Yuriko wants to eradicate everyone because she feels consumed by greed. At that moment, Sensei appears with Hikari.

The episode shockingly reveals that Hikari is Yuriko's younger sister, the same girl whom she sent to the pits. She has become an elderly figure due to Yuriko's powers. Sensei has heard Hikari's story and thinks Yuriko is actually a kind girl, who compassionately took care of her sick sister in her original world.

He wants the elder sister to tell her version, so he can finish writing the story. Yuriko becomes infuriated, but Sensei's strong conviction eventually forces her to reveal her actual desire and backstory. The episode reveals through a flashback how Yuriko's father scolded her one day, when she went outside to play, instead of taking care of her sister.

Yuriko thought she wasn't loved. That's when the truck-kun hit her and sent her to the Zauberberg, where she finally felt liberated until her younger sister followed her. The episode returns to the present and shows Yuriko crying at how selfish she is.

Osamu Dazai consoles Yuriko and assures her that she's a kind girl. Sensei adds that Hikari died soon after Yuriko, not as a result of illness, but because she fell into despair over losing her older sister.

The sisters finally hug each other and Sensei completes his story. The episode ends with Osamu Dazai's Divine Gift sending the sisters back to their original world.
