No Longer Allowed in Another World episode 4: Suzuki wreaks havoc, while Osamu Dazai finds inspiration
Picking up the events from the previous installment, No Longer Allowed in Another World episode 4 begins with Suzuki turning Annette into one of his "unconditional slaves." It is revealed that he wants to seize control over the Vale town and subsequently, Zauberberg.
Tama tries to retaliate, but she also turns into one of Suzuki's puppets. Ysha reprimands Suzuki, reminding that she didn't teach him to use his Gift for a filthy reason. She adds that the town of Vale will never surrender to him. As such, Suzuki decides to destroy the town and build a new kingdom.
No Longer Allowed in Another World episode 4 then shows Suzuki unleashing ravaging beasts in the town, which destroy and burn everything. On the other hand, Tama in a possessed state demolishes the armor Sensei was in.
Ysha reunites with Osamu Dazai, and tells him that Suzuki was a weak-willed person before he acquired his powers. Suddenly, inspiration strikes Dazai, and he feels he can finally write his masterpiece. He learns from Ysha that Suzuki has gone to the cathedral, so he decides to go there. The elven mage also tags along with him.
No Longer Allowed in Another World episode 4: Osamu Dazai confronts Suzuki in the cathedral
The narrative for No Longer Allowed in Another World episode 4 switches the location to Zweiten Cathedral. Ysha advises Osamu Dazai to proceed with a cautious plan, but the man barges into the hall through the front door.
He greets Suzuki and tells him that he's interested in writing a novel based on him. However, contrary to writing a heroic tale, Sensei intends to compose a narrative about a man who falls to his greed after gaining more power than he deserves.
Osamu Dazai's insulting remark infuriates Suzuki, so he sends a pack of dangerous beasts at him. However, Ysha shields Sensei and demonstrates her magic to defeat some of the creatures.
Melos then arrives at the right time to save Sensei from fire-based projectile attacks by repelling them at Suzuki and his lackey, Kotaro. Suzuki then sends his strongest pet, a colossal beast, to Osamu Dazai.
The narrative for No Longer Allowed in Another World episode 4 then shows the beast piercing its fangs on Sensei's shoulder. However, the poison in Sensei's body instantly kills the beast.
No Longer Allowed in Another World episode 4 then shows Suzuki playing his final trump card by sending a possessed Annette. However, Osamu Dazai reminds Suzuki that Annette isn't as weak as he thinks. He also reminds Annette that she's not a caged bird anymore. Sensei's words help the elven priest turn back to her normal self.
No Longer Allowed in Another World episode 4: Suzuki's backstory and Sensei's Divine Skill
Without any other means to confront Sensei, Suzuki decides to end his life. However, Osamu Dazai quickly stops him, reminding the Otherworlder that he still needs to finish writing his masterpiece. He asks Suzuki if he can tell his story.
The narrative for No Longer Allowed in Another World episode 4 then delves into a flashback, revealing Suzuki's backstory. The boy was bullied throughout his life for his timid nature. He tried to die many times, but he didn't have the courage. One day, he gets hit by the truck-kun and ends up summoned to Zauberberg.
Suzuki acquires new powers and finds a new purpose in a foreign land. However, he quickly observes the discontentment in the eyes of the natives. He could no longer see the vision of being a hero. Sensei completes writing his novel after listening to Suzuki's story.
He calls it a story of a miserable man, who despite hoping to live as a hero in a new world, could neither become a hero nor a villain due to his weakness. Sensei names his creation "No Longer Allowed in Another World."
Following that, No Longer Allowed in Another World episode 4 shows the pages of Sensei's novels surrounding Suzuki. Osamu Dazai thanks Suzuki for letting him write something satisfactory after a long time. However, he still thinks it's not a "masterpiece."
No Longer Allowed in Another World episode 4 then shows the glowing pages creating a portal to send back Suzuki to his own world. Ysha and Annette speculate that Osamu Dazai may have a unique skill that only activates against the Other Worlders.
She wonders whether the literary genius was brought into Zauberberg to fight the Other Worlders. Meanwhile, Tama returns to her normal self and reunites with others. The next day, Ysha gives Osamu Dazai a new coffin, as they prepare to leave the town.
Ysha warns Annette about the perilous journey ahead. At the same time, she knows that the elven priest will not only take care of herself but also protect Sensei. Before Sensei leaves, Ysha asks him about Suzuki.
Osamu Dazai feels that while Suzuki's story as a hero is over in Zauberberg, he still has a role to play in his own world. However, it's up to him whether or not it becomes a masterpiece.
No Longer Allowed in Another World episode 4 ends with a scene featuring Suzuki in the real world, ready to restart his life.
