Naruto is one of the first anime series taking place in a shinobi. Masashi Kishimoto took a unique approach and introduced a new world to the world of the Shounen demographic that it had never seen before.

With the series taking place in a Shinobi world, everyone had their own shinobi way, simply termed as nindó. But most of the shinobi in this verse had a nindó that was the continuation of the old one that has been passed on from the old days, violence and war.

The protagonist changed these customs and came up with his own nindó which was to never back down on his words. Sasuke followed him and they defeated the originator of the cycle of the old 'shinobi way,' Kaguya Otsutsuki, by thinking out of the box. Madara also tried to do so and end the suffering of everyone through the Infinite Tsukuyomi, but he was a slave of Kaguya from the start.

Exploring how Sasuke and Naruto ended the cycle of the 'shinobi way'

Kaguya Otsutsuki is the final antagonist of Naruto who arrived on Earth millions of years ago alongside Isshiki Otsutsuki. Despite being a member of a lower-ranking family, Kaguya desired to eat the chakra fruit of this planet and betrayed Isshiki. She harvested the chakra tree and ate its fruit, ending all conflicts humanity bore against each other.

Kaguya eventually found a lover, Tenji, and they had two sons, Hagoromo and Hamura. But being from a clan that was hungry for more chakra fruits (power), she went against her own blood and wanted to consume her sons. Hagoromo and Hamura rebelled against their mother and sealed her.

Before dying, Kaguya left behind two things: the 'shinobi way' to always remain hungry for power, and Black Zetsu, who would make sure that this 'shinobi way' flourishes. It happened all according to Kaguya's plan: every nation held a grudge against the other and war became common, especially when Hashirama and Madara were young.

But these two decided to end this conflict and founded the Hidden Leaf Village. Unfortunately, things didn't remain peaceful for a long time because Madara rebelled and wanted power, just like the 'shinobi way' that Kaguya passed to her predecessors.

After a defeat against Hashirama, Madara went into hiding and made a plan to end the suffering of everyone by creating the Infinite Tsukuyomi. But he failed to do so as the Infinite Tsukuyomi awakened Kaguya inside him and the Otsutsuki was reborn due to Black Zetsu's manipulation of Madara Uchiha.

This made it evident that ending the cycle of hatred (the shinobi way) would be not an easy task, but then emerged the protagonist and Sasuke Uchiha who thought out of the box. The protagonist's ninja way was to never back down on his words and his upbringing as an orphan made him hate violence and war.

Sasuke, on the other hand, learned the truth about the world by learning the truth about his brother's actions. Together, these two repeated history and sealed Kaguya and her shinobi way of violence.

Madara was just a pawn of Black Zetsu who never let the former see anything other than violence and war. This was the reason why the Uchiha failed so badly. The protagonist and deuteragonist had strong wills and ended the long-running curse of a shinobi way.
