Jujutsu Kaisen's latest chapter left fans spellbound with Toge Inumaki's tape recorder trick against Sukuna, which seemingly gave the edge of the battle to Yuta Okkotsu.

In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 262 part 2, Yuta was seen trying to adapt to Satoru Gojo's body and his Cursed Technique, which proved a bit too difficult to master even after their body-swap training. Towards the end of the chapter, however, Yuta managed to complete Gojo's chants with the help of Inumaki and create a Hollow Purple ready to fire at the King of Curses.

Utilizing Inumaki's Cursed Speech in such a manner against Sukuna was certainly one of the series' most clever uses of powers in a battle. As such, the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom immediately started coming up with different ways of utilizing Inumaki's tape recorder trick against Sukuna, one of which saw a Yuji-Higuruma combo that could have been ideal in order to end the King of Curses for good.

Latest Jujutsu Kaisen scenario showcases how a Yuji-Higuruma combo with Inumaki's tape recorder trick might have been more effective against Sukuna

The ongoing battle against Ryomen Sukuna has witnessed a massive number of casualties for the Jujutsu sorcerers, with lawyer-turned-sorcerer Hiromi Higuruma being one of them.

During the battle, Higuruma surprised both the readers as well as Sukuna by showcasing the true extent of his potential as a sorcerer, which was said to rival that of Satoru Gojo.

Given that Higuruma possessed one of the deadliest Cursed Techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen, fans had hoped that he might have been the one to erase Sukuna from existence with his Executioner's Sword. Unfortunately, Higuruma ended up dying as a result of his injuries before he could accomplish this feat, which made the Executioner's Sword disappear upon his death.

In chapter 262 part 2 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, readers witnessed Toge Inumaki coming to Yuta Okkotsu's help in an unexpected way. Although he initially faced a great deal of trouble adjusting to Satoru Gojo's body, Yuta attempted to put an end to the fight by using his mentor's ultimate technique, Hollow Purple, against the King of Curses.

While he was unable to complete the chants at first due to Sukuna's resistance, Yuta managed to unleash a surprise attack on his opponent via a tape recorder, which delivered Inumaki's Cursed Speech to the King of Curses, thereby restricting his movements. This allowed Yuta to complete his chants, which enabled him to create a Hollow Purple, ready to launch at his opponent.

Although this development was widely considered by fans to be one of the most cunning battle tactics in the entirety of Jujutsu Kaisen, there were some who attempted to create different scenarios where other Jujutsu socerers got the opportunity to capitalize on Inumaki's tape recorder trick.

One of these scenarios saw the combination of Yuji Itadori and Hiromi Higuruma being the ones to deliver the finishing blow on Sukuna, who would have been immobilized due to Inumaki's tape recorder.

This scenario was originally presented on the r/Jujutsufolk community on Reddit by the user u/NewBrightness, who claimed that the Yuji-Higuruma combo, along with Inumaki's tape recorder trick, would have worked better against Sukuna than Yuta's Hollow Purple. According to the user, Yuji could get the tape recorder closer to Sukuna while the latter was distracted by Higuruma.

From hereon, Inumaki's voice would immobilize Sukuna, which would allow Higuruma to use his Executioner's Sword to wipe out the King of Curses from existence. However, this scenario, like all the others, has its fair share of problems.

Yuji and Higuruma were the first line of defense after Gojo and Kashimo were killed. As such, the two were faced with the challenge of facing off against a Sukuna who had just transformed into his Heian Era form and was technically in a much better condition than his current state.

Utilizing Inumaki's Cursed Speech via a tape recorder is a trick that was meant to catch Sukuna off-guard when he would be in a much weaker state. Had it been utilized earlier in the battle with Yuji and Higuruma and had failed to serve its purpose for some reason, there would be no cards left up the sorcerers' sleeves.

Looking back on the Jujutsu sorcerers' battle against Sukuna, it is evident that the sorcerers had planned out contingencies for everything that could possibly go wrong in the battle. Seeing as to how the worst possible outcome always ended up happening at every crucial juncture, it's likely that the aforementioned plan to use Inumaki's tape recorder along with the Yuji-Higuruma combo may have backfired in some way.

That said, this scenario is certainly an interesting one to ponder. Although it is possible that Sukuna might have found a way to escape with his life, it would have been one of the simplest yet most ingenius ways to end the King of Curses had Gege Akutami saved the Yuji-Higuruma and Inumaki combo for the last. As such, fans may continue to speculate about this while waiting for the release of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263.
