Nozel's new spell in Black Clover Chapter 373 has fans comparing him with the Silver Surfer

With the release of Black Clover Chapter 373, the manga series showcased Silver Eagles Captain Nozel Silva's latest magic spell - Mercury Magic: Silver Guardian. While facing his mother Acier Silva, Nozel believed that the only way to defeat the Paladin was to make use of Noelle's latent magic and Leviathan's power. Hence, he asked his siblings to prepare a strong spell while he bought time for them.

For this, he activated his defensive spell Mercury Magic: Silver Guardian. While the plan succeeded and the Silva siblings defeated their mother, much of the fans' focus in the chapter was drawn towards Nozel's new spell as fans compared him to the Marvel Comics character Silver Surfer.

Why are fans comparing Black Clover's Nozel Silva to Silver Surfer?

As fans must have seen in Chapter 373, Nozel Silva's Mercury Magic: Silver Guardian saw his entire body get covered by silver. This form essentially made him resemble the Marvel Comics character Silver Surfer.

The key differences between the two were that Nozel Silva had hair and did not have a board to ride on while using the magic spell. As for Silver Surfer, he was bald and used a surfboard-like craft.

That said, Nozel Silva can manifest a silver board to move through the battlefield. This has been shown numerous times in the anime as fans compared him to Silver Surfer even back then. Unfortunately, the one moment fans wished for Nozel to use the same, he seemingly chose to fly across the battlefield.

How fans reacted to Nozel Silva's new spell

Black Clover fans were so amused by Nozel Silva's latest magic spell that one fan even created a possible manga cover for Black Clover Volume 37 featuring the Silver Eagles Captain.

"Nozel turned into the silver surfer. ima need to see this form in action again before black clover ends," one fan said.

"NOZEL AS SILVER SURFER! THIS SPREAD IS TOO GOOD," another fan said.

Nevertheless, fans weren't too pleased with the proceedings of the chapter as they believed that the form's presence in the chapter was too short. With that in mind, fans expressed how they wished to see Nozel use the spell again before the manga ends.

Another fan expressed their love for the double spread as they liked manga creator Yuki Tabata's artwork on the same.

"Nozel turned into the Silver Surfer. Where’s your board?," another added.

"There’s no way we don’t get Spirit Dive/Saint Stage Fuegoleon after getting silver surfer Nozel," other fan said.

Meanwhile, other fans were much more concerned about Nozel Silva's full Silver Surfer look. Considering that he looked similar to the hero, they wished for him to also have the board with him.

As for other fans, they started speculating on future developments. According to them, there was no way the manga would give fans Silver Surfer Nozel but not Spirit Dive/Saint Stage Fuegoleon. Hence, they expected to see Fuegoleon get a new form soon.
