One Piece chapter 1118 raw scans were expected to bring an end to the wait for a sneak peek at the upcoming official release’s artwork, which they did deliver in an exciting fashion. Unsurprisingly, the major highlight of the scans is Jewelry Bonney utilizing her Devil Fruit powers to assume a Sun God Nika form of her own.

Even more exciting is that according to the One Piece chapter 1118 raw scans, Bonney’s Nika form is identical to that of Luffy’s Gear 5 form in every significant way. However, the raw scans also reveal other exciting events on Egghead Island, including both the Iron Giant and Dr. Vegapunk’s broadcast showing signs of life.

One Piece chapter 1118 raw scans see a second Nika hit Egghead Island in a shocking turn of events

One Piece chapter 1118 raw scans open with a focus on Yamato’s cover story, which sees him leaving the Flower Capital and officially beginning his pilgrimage. Beginning the issue’s story content, the raw scans open with the Iron Giant crashing into the ocean and taking out several Marine ships in the process. The Transmission Transponder snail inside the Iron Giant is seen saying something from Dr. Vegapunk’s message as the Iron Giant sinks into the sea.

The Iron Giant also says some words here before the perspective quickly shifts back to Egghead, where the Gorosei member Saint Topman Warcury is watching the Iron Giant sink. The focus then shifts to reactions all over the world as Dr. Vegapunk’s broadcast ends, with Alabasta and Dressrosa being two obvious locations visited.

One Piece chapter 1118 raw scans then return to Egghead, where Vegapunk York is notifying the Gorosei of Vegapunk Atlas and Vegapunk Lilith’s survival thus far. The Gorosei seem to split up here to pursue them as the focus shifts to the Giant Warrior Pirates’ ship. As the ship sails away from Egghead, Dorry, Brogy, and Luffy all jump for it and end up catching onto the side, climbing on board after.

It’s then revealed Bonney turned Vice Admiral Doll and Bluegrass into children to facilitate their escape, while Luffy greets Oimo and Kashii. Nami and Sanji then speak via Transponder Snail, as the Gorosei member Saint Marcus Mars is seen flying toward the Giant Warrior Pirates’ ship. However, Luffy goes into the ship’s kitchen to eat some food at that moment, leaving three Giants to defend against Mars’ attack with their shields.

One Piece chapter 1118 raw scans see them block most of the attack, but part of it still hits the ship and lights it ablaze. As Mars prepares for another attack, the ship itself and the seas around it begin shaking as Luffy reappears topside in his Gear 5 form. Mars is shocked and confused by this, while Luffy speaks with Bonney and inspires her to try and become Nika, just like him.

The final two pages of the issue see a massive spread appear in which Bonney uses her Devil Fruit powers to become Nika with an appearance exactly like Luffy’s Gear 5 form. This includes white curly hair, ring-like pupils, all-white clothes save for a colored sash, and a scarf of clouds around her neck and arms. She mimics Luffy’s pose from the volume 106 cover, while Luffy laughs in the same way he did when Gear 5 was first officially introduced.

The Marines and Giants nearby are shocked, while Mars silently stares at the pair in disbelief. Luffy smiles back at him while Bonney seemingly says something to Luffy. The Gorosei members Saint Jaygarcia Saturn and Saint Shepherd Ju Peter seemingly sense the presence of the two Nikas as the issue ends. However, the final panel of the One Piece chapter 1118 raw scans see the Iron Giant reacting to the pair’s presence as it sinks into the sea.
