One Piece chapter 1121's mystery character is likely Imu's descendant, not Shanks' twin

One Piece chapter 1121 was released on July 22, 2024, and the chapter showcased a mystery character who became the talk of the town. The majority of the fandom considered this mysterious character either the twin of Shanks or a man marked by the flames because Oda introducing a new character in the final war could mean that the character could be someone powerful.

While the chances of this mysterious character being a powerful entity remain, there are chances that this character is neither of these and could be someone from the Nerona family, the same one as the Supreme Leader of the World Government. This is evident from the silhouette of the character which matches one person from the first visual of the God Knights.

One Piece chapter 1121: Why the mysterious person is not Shanks' twin nor the man marked by the flames

One Piece chapter 1121 concluded with a two-page panel where a mysterious person was revealed. This person wielded a sword and looked like an old man, which led to the fandom thinking that he could be the twin of Shanks. This twin could be why Shanks got to meet the Gorosei without any interruption.

However, the role of this twin is being played by Garling Fingerland, the leader of the God Knights, who resembled Shanks in his youth. As his personality is opposite to that of Shanks, he fits well in the description of Shanks' twin, eliminating his chances of being the mysterious man.

Moreover, the mysterious man from One Piece chapter 1121 would also likely not be the man marked by the flames. The two-page panel showcased a bunch of old and young characters from different organizations. On one side was the young Koby, and on the other side was the Fleet Admiral Akainu.

Similarly, on one side was the young Sabo from the Revolutionary Army, on the other hand was the leader, Monkey D Dragon. Judging from the sequence, the mysterious man would be a young man as he parallels Garling Fingerland. As the man marked by the flames could be an aged man, he would not be the mysterious man.

The first visual of the God Knights features a bunch of character silhouettes, one of which was wielding a sword. The hilt of his sword matches the design of the mysterious man, hinting that this character could be the person showcased in this visual. This proved that this mysterious character could be one of the God Knights.

How could he be related to the Nerona Family of Imu? The leader of the Nefertari family, Lili, has a very identical face to her descendant, Vivi. The problem is that Imu's face or body features are still unknown and there is no chance of them being unveiled in the near future.

So, Imu can only be compared through their silhouette which is a long, slender one. Similar to Imu, the figure of the God Knight, in the first visual of the God Knights, is that of a long character with a slender figure.

This could make the mysterious character the sibling of Imu, the one who played a main role in the distribution of the Poneglyphs and was a partner of Nefertari D Lili in her crime for which Imu has still not forgiven her.
