One Piece chapter 1127 was expected to elaborate on Nami and co’s current status, formally beginning the Elbaf arc in the process. Excitingly, the issue does exactly this, seeing Nami and the others battle against strange foes on their way to reuniting.
In the meantime, the focus is given to the village of Giants the fivesome is seemingly located in, which itself is presumably on the island of Elbaf. With this, it’s all but confirmed that the Elbaf arc has officially begun, but the Straw Hats may be making a bad first impression on the island’s populace.

One Piece chapter 1127: Eventful start to the Elbaf arc
One Piece chapter 1127, titled Adventure in the Land of Mystery, begins with a cover story continuing Yamato’s pilgrimage across Wano. They’re seen meeting with Inuarashi, now the Daimyo of Kuri, who is also concerned with the disappearances Yamato has just heard of. Starting its story, the issue begins with a focus on an Elbaf village, where houses are made of LEGO-like blocks.
A fire is spreading, and the Giants are concerned with the safety of the Yggdrasil tree, which is seemingly vital to Elbaf’s existence and way of life. They say they need to report this to the Sun God, as others notice some giant bees, called Stingermol, seemingly having been attacked. It’s also revealed that a giant rabbit called the Ear God was apparently injured, which shocked those who heard of this.
One Piece chapter 1127 then shifts focus to the Big Steinn Castle, where Nami is seen crying after defeating a Stingermol with Zeus’ help. She comments on having no idea where she is while crying out for Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, or even Usopp to save her. She adds she doesn’t even remember changing while taking in her surroundings before hearing Usopp’s voice. As she races to him, she trips, suddenly finding a giant hedgehog in front of her.
She startles it, which leads to the animal giving chase. Nami eventually finds Usopp, but he’s in the jaws of a cat with a kingly crown, asking her for help likewise. Nami then decides to use Zeus on the hedgehog, which breaks the balcony they were on and sends them both toward Usopp and the cat. The hedgehog lands on the cat, electrocuting it but not knocking it unconscious.
One Piece chapter 1127 sees the cat give chase to Nami and Usopp as they flee, discussing what they remember. Usopp’s outfit is revealed here, showing him in striped, bulky trousers with a fake beard and a Viking-style hat with horns going fairly straight up. They remember that they were drinking absinthe, causing hallucinations while reaching a dead end, which is very high up from the ground below.
Usopp confidently decides not to dodge the cat since he believes it’s an illusion, resulting in him, Nami, and the cat flying through the wall and to the ground below. The cat then transforms into a lion, rushing at the pair and prompting Nami to use Usopp as a shield.
However, at the last second, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji appear, each performing an attack on the lion and knocking it unconscious. The double spread showing this mirrors one from chapter 162 where they earlier versions of the same attacks.
One Piece chapter 1127 sees Sanji run to Nami immediately, while Luffy questions how the cat will taste while adding that the grilled rabbit they had earlier, presumably the Ear God, was tasty. Zoro muses about the lion turning into a cat as it focuses on each of their outfits. Luffy was in very light attire, with a black cape and hat similar to Usopp’s, but with more rounded horns. Zoro is in what seems to be leather armor with a white cape and ski goggle-like spectacles on his face.
Finally, Sanji is in heavy armor with a black cape, carrying a sword on his back like Nami. Luffy muses on finding more rabbits to eat, while Zoro says finding their ship and crew is the top priority, and Sanji comments on going back to get some honey from the beehive they encountered. The issue ends with Nami crying while asking how they’re all taking this in stride, asking where they are. It’s also confirmed that the series will be on break next week.
One Piece chapter 1127: In summation
While One Piece chapter 1127 does seemingly begin the Elbaf arc, it seems the Straw Hats may be getting off on the wrong foot with the Monster Trio responsible for the local chaos. Likewise, Tony Tony Chopper is also wholly unaccounted for currently, suggesting he may also be in Elbaf and causing chaos himself. When the series returns from break with chapter 1128, fans can expect a clearer direction on where the arc is headed and what to expect from it.
