One Piece Chapter 1128 recap
One Piece Chapter 1128 began with Luffy, Sanji, Nami, Zoro, and Usopp all making their way down from Bigstein Castle to the ground outside below. They then met with a local, who told them that this land belonged to the Sun God and that multiple deities like the cat in the castle, whom he called the Great Iskat. He then warned them not to go down a certain road since fierce guardians protect the Sun God’s Temple beyond a certain point.
This prompted Luffy and Zoro to sprint in that direction, itching for a fight. However, Luffy eventually ran into and shattered a mirror, revealing the crew was being kept in a giant cage inside of a room.
They then found Chopper on a nearby table being held hostage and rescued him. However, the group was then confronted by giant rats, a giant snake, and a giant crow. Focus then shifted to what appeared to be a massively tall Giant walking in a hallway.
The Giant was wearing a deer skull over their head, complete with antlers and a full mane. The Giant was then seen entering the room the Straw Hats were in, discovering a fire had started. Luffy and Zoro took out the giant snake and crow respectively before the crew decided to jump back into the cage.
They then started rushing to the other end of the cage to escape the other side, with the Sun God chasing them in the cage as the issue ended.
What to expect from One Piece chapter 1129 (speculative)
One Piece chapter 1129 will most likely begin with the Alabasta crew having already reached the other side of the cage and preparing to smash through. After doing so, they should buy enough time to fully explore their surroundings and get a better sense of where they are.
More likely than not, the crew will discover that they haven’t been in Elbaf at all this entire time, instead finding themselves being held captive on a ship. This should prompt a shift in focus to the Sun God, revealing them as a Holy Knight and explaining why they captured the Straw Hats in the first place.
