One Piece Chapter 1132 was expected to see the Straw Hats finally reunite following the setup of their reunion via the Great Eirik’s arrival to Elbaph in the previous issue. Officially released earlier this weekend, the issue did indeed reunite the Straw Hat Pirates, teeing up the Elbaph Arc to go full steam ahead with its setup and conflict introduction.

One Piece Chapter 1132 also does a good job of getting the Straw Hats off on the right foot with Elbaph’s populace, eliminating any tedious setbacks which would delay arc’s progression. While it’s unknown exactly what’s next for the manga, there are several major paths which Chapter 1132 sets up that are very appealing and intriguing.

One Piece Chapter 1132: Reunion at hand

One Piece Chapter 1132 begins with the issue’s cover story, which continues Yamato’s pilgrimage across Wano. They’re at Udon astle along with Komachiyo, Speed, and Otama, with the castle being rebuilt where the prison Luffy and Eustass Kid were in used to be. Beginning its story content, the issue opens on the Great Eirik’s return to Elbaph. The young boy Shanks spoke with before fighting Kid is seen celebrating the Giant Warrior Pirates’ return.

The child, revealed to be named Colon, asks if they’re coming to the bar for a drink. Upon learning that they won’t, he decides to head up with them, being given food for himself, his father, and someone named Ripley by the bartender. Colon then reveals that he spoke with Shanks about Luffy while Hajrudin and Stetsen sail out of the Underworld just in time to catch up with the Great Eirik.

One Piece Chapter 1132 then sees the Straw Hats in shock at a giant, gorgeous rainbow, with Brogy explaining that it’s drawn out of a Sun Stone Painter. Dorry and Brogy then warn the Straw Hats to hang on tight, as the ship goes vertical and begins climbing up the rainbow to the village in the middle level of Yggdrasil. The Straw Hats ask for a logical explanation of how this is possible, but don’t get one.

The Straw Hats thus instead choose to be amazed at the experience and sights, while Dorry and Brogy speak with Hajrudin and Stetsen. Focus then shifts to the rope bridge which Luffy split off from the others on, where he’s finally returned from the Underworld. He runs into Gerd and Goldberg here, who greet Luffy and emphasize that they’re not like Road. Goldberg then asks Luffy what he was doing in the Underworld, prompting him to begin panicking.

One Piece Chapter 1132 then sees a flashback panel appear which sees Loki telling Luffy to keep their deal and their meeting a secret from others. Likewise, this suggests that Luffy has agreed to help free Loki in some way, shape, or form. In reality, Luffy is struggling to answer, leading the pair to drop their questioning immediately. Focus then shifts to Nami’s group, who are still running from Road who is about to catch Nami and Chopper.

However, a giant tree then falls on him, revealed to be a trap laid by Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp. Gerd, Goldberg, and Luffy catch up to Road and the other Straw Hats at this moment, with Gerd and Goldberg deciding to attack Road rather than assist him. As this happens, Luffy reunites with his crewmates, with Gerd and Goldberg introducing themselves to the others besides Luffy afterward.

One Piece Chapter 1132: Striking beauty and hidden dangers

Now reunited with his friends, One Piece Chapter 1132 sees Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper begin rushing towards the village ahead, with focus then returning to the Great Eirik. Dorry and Brogy are explaining the three levels of Elbaph; the Underworld at the lowest level, the Sun World at the middle level, and the Heaven World at the highest level. Dorry, Brogy, and the Straw Hats on their ship then arrive at Dorry and Brogy’s village.

It looks exactly like the other glimpses of villages fans have seen throughout the series, and also features a castle similar to the Bigstein Castle in Road’s LEGO kingdom. This is also the village where Luffy and the others have arrived, with Usopp and Luffy awestruck by the beauty while remembering their promise to get here one day. Text boxes also appear which discuss the size and grandeur of Elbaph.

One Piece Chapter 1132 then shows the reactions of each of the other Straw Hats and their allies. The textboxes further that this is the Kingdom of Warland on the island of Elbaph, known commonly as the Land of Giants. The Great Eirik sees Usopp, Luffy, and Chopper looking out on the village from an island cloud as their ship comes into the port, with the trio getting jealous of their riding a rainbow.

The text boxes here further discuss the beauty and size of the island, calling it breathtaking and a truly marvelous land which is perfect for those who seek adventure. However, Louis Arnot (the explorer speaking via the text boxes) warns those who venture out into Elbaph’s terrains to not linger there for too long. The issue ends on this warning, as well as a shot of a silhouetted figure somewhere in Elbaph who is wearing a long coat and a Wano-style hat.

In summation

One Piece Chapter 1132 not only sees the Straw Hats reunite in Elbaph fully, but also sets up several new plotlines for the Elbaph Arc. The first is the fact that Luffy apparently made a promise with Loki to help free him, suggested by Loki’s dialogue in the brief flashback scene Luffy has. The second is the silhouetted figure at the end of the issue, who will almost certainly play a key role and be revealed as a key figure later on in the arc.
