One Piece chapter 1120 spoilers have raised many questions about the actual relation between the D. clan and Ohara, while also foreshadowing a new form of weapon that Emet will use against the Gorosei.

Chapter 1120 also revealed that Atlas met her end while serving as a distraction for Nusjuro. While the chapter primarily focused on Vegapunk, Emet, and the Gorosei, it also included a singular panel of Punk Hazard that managed to revive an old theory suggesting that Onigashima is essentially a part of Punk Hazard.

One Piece Chapter 1120 spoilers have given rise to numerous theories, ranging from the origins of Robin to the origins and significance of the D clan. The reveal of Clover being a D clan member has indirectly raised the possibility that Robin is also a member, though she may not know it yet.

While these are some of the most intriguing theories stemming from chapter 1120, a singular panel depicting Vegapunk along with Clover sitting in Punk Hazard has managed to raise theories about Onigashima, the skull island that served as Kaido's base throughout the Wano arc.

The panel mainly depicts a conversation between Vegapunk and Clover, but the background shows the silhouette of a giant skull that looks eerily similar to the skull on Onigashima. Punk Hazard is inarguably one of the most mysterious and intriguing locations ever revealed in the series.

It is essentially an island split into two distinct halves due to the battle between Aokiji and Akainu. Coincidentally, the very entrance to Punk Hazard has warning signs with the emblems of the Marines, World Government, and a prominent Onigashima-like skull in the middle.

This, along with the presence of the Numbers in Kaido's base, which Kaido allegedly bought from Punk Hazard, makes it possible that the Onigashima skull was actually part of Punk Hazard before being somehow taken away by Kaido.

It is entirely possible that Kaido was held in Punk Hazard during his capture and was experimented on to further research into dragons. This also ties in with the reveal that Punk Hazard was leading research into ancient giants.

This research later gave rise to the Numbers and the numerous dragons seen throughout the series. The Onigashima skull must have served as a deposit of genetic data to further the recreation of ancient giants.

Final thoughts

While the actual dialogue from Big Mom during the Wano arc suggests that Kaido bought the failed ancient giants from Punk Hazard, it is still possible that Onigashima was the original skull and source of genetic material present in Punk Hazard.

It is entirely possible that Kaido stole it earlier in the story, as he has demonstrated the ability to move the entirety of Onigashima during the Wano arc.
