In One Piece episode 1109, viewers see S-Hawk displaying the power of the Dice-Dice Fruit by launching an attack on Luffy and Zoro. Luffy and Zoro dodge the attacks and also manage to protect Lucci and Kaku. Kaku points out that as long as they are handcuffed, Luffy and Zoro will have to keep protecting them. He suggests that teaming up might be the best strategy, but Zoro disagrees.

Shaka then shows up and questions Lucci about his mission at Egghead. Lucci responds, much to Kaku’s consternation, that he has been assigned to eliminate all seven Vegapunks. He also discloses that Stussy is now a target due to her treachery. Despite this, Luffy decides to uncuff Lucci and Kaku.

He presents Kid with two choices: either fight or give up the Road Ponegliffs and leave. The episode was spectacular in the way it depicted the Seraphim's attack on the Straw Hats. S-Hawk appeared genuinely terrifying, bordering on the demonic. The fluidity of his movements, coupled with the impact of his strikes, truly elevated the action scenes in this episode.

There is also a big Shanks moment that has been set up in this episode which is something all fans of the series will be looking forward to. It can be said that the animation style adopted by the studio for this arc is one of their finest.

In the previous episode, S-Snake turned York into stone, after which she advanced towards Lilith's group. Without heeding to Lilith's orders to stop, she then fired a laser beam at them.

Elsewhere, S-Bear and S-Hawk were also on attack mode, targetting Zoro, Luffy, Lucci and Kaku. Shaka also tried to stop the Seraphim but failed. Shaka was quick to deduce that one of the Vegapunks must be controlling the Seraphim.

The episode also revealed that members of CP5, CP7, and CP8 were being held in a capsule in the lab for at least two months without proper food. They had initially suspected Vegapunk was behind their present condition, but upon seeing him in handcuffs, they were forced to reconsider.

In another part of Egghead, Sentomaru was urging everyone to flee the island, as he feared that an incident worse than Ohara was about to unfold. In fact, hundreds of Marine ships were en route to the island.
