One Piece episode 1118 recap
One Piece episode 1118 began with Sabo taking down several guards inside of Pangaea Castle, getting the keys to the slaves’ collars likewise. He then met up with Jewelry Bonney, also there to free Kuma before visiting Dr. Vegapunk so he could restore Kuma’s humanity.
They then hid from the guards, where they heard a rumor about the Lost Chamber. The focus then shifted back to Cobra, who was speaking with them about the World Government’s formation.
He specifically asked about Nefertari Lily, since she returned to Alabasta after the World Government’s formation, but never returned. Instead, her younger brother began his rule, with Cobra trying to find out what happened since Alabasta’s post-Void Century texts don’t mention her at all. The Gorosei said they couldn’t help him, prompting him to ask him the meaning of the D. due to it being present in a letter from Lily being handed down throughout the centuries.
The focus then shifted elsewhere, showing Kuma changing up Shirahoshi under Saint Charlos’ orders. Mjosgard stopped her brothers from intervening, telling Sai and Leo to handle it since they’re already pirates. The two then flattened him to the ground with one strike, prompting Morley to appear and restrain Kuma. The episode ended by returning focus to Cobra and the Gorosei, where Imu revealed themselves, sat on the Empty Throne and said Lily’s name.
One Piece episode 1119 what to expect (speculative)
With Imu having revealed themselves to Nefertari Cobra in episode 1118, many fans are understandably expecting One Piece episode 1119 to show exactly how Cobra died. Likewise, fans are already assuming that it’s not Sabo who kills Cobra, but instead Imu and the Gorosei, who then blame it on Sabo. Fans are also expecting significant lore to be revealed in the buildup to Cobra’s death, especially considering Imu has already said Lily’s name.
Episode 1119 should also begin setting up the disappearance of Vivi, which will likely be related to Cobra’s death in some way, shape, or form. It’s even possible that after seeing Cobra dead, Imu will immediately set their sights on securing Vivi. This would provide closure to both Imu looking at Vivi’s poster during the actual Reverie arc and to where Vivi is and what her status is following the Reverie.
