One Piece Episode 1119 opens with Cobra rendered speechless by the sight of Imu on the Empty Throne, realizing someone is secretly controlling the world. He says the name Imu sounded familiar as it belonged to one of the First Twenty. Imu dismisses the implication and proceeds to explain what D stands for. It is the name of those who opposed the First Twenty, although the bearers of the name are now clueless about their legacy. The origin of D is linked to Queen Lily's 800 years old mistake.

It is revealed that Queen Lily scattered the Ponegliffs across the world, and Imu suspects this might have been intentional, and her letter may confirm it. Imu asks Cobra to reveal Lily's full name. Realizing that he is destined to die in this room, Cobra discloses the former Queen of Alabasta’s name: Nefeltari D. Lily. Sabo, hidden in the shadows, hears everything.

Reacting to the name, Imu strikes Cobra with a spear-shaped tail. Sabo emerges and attacks the Five Elders and Imu with a Fire Fist and Rook Check.

Imu and the Five Elders then transform into shadowy figures with glowing red eyes and pursue Sabo, who creates a fire barrier to keep them at bay. But Cobra, who knows there is no escape for him, asks Sabo to convey to Luffy and Vivi that the Nefeltari family bears the moniker D.

Sabo recalls learning from Luffy and Ace that they both have D in their names. At this point, Sabo is struck down, but to give him a chance to escape, Cobra sacrifices himself. Before that, he reveals that Lily's letter mentioned the Ponegliffs bearing the flag of the dawn.

Later, after Sabo has made his escape, the Five Elders and Imu notice an eye peeping through a crack in the wall. It is King Wapol, who panics at having discovered the dark side of the World Government, and flees.

Meanwhile, Vivi, tied up and guarded by CP0 members, is more concerned about Shirahoshi. She learns that Leo and Sai, who beat up the Charlos for trying to kidnap Shirahoshi, have declared themselves to be Luffy’s subordinates. Elsewhere, Fujitora, who helped the Revolutionary Army in freeing the slaves, got into a fight with Ryokugyu.

When Wapol bursts into the room, Vivi uses the opportunity to escape with him. One Piece Episode 1119 ends with Wapol's wife, Kinderella, mistakenly thinking that Wapol and Vivi are eloping.

One Piece Episode 1119 is packed with excitement and significant revelations. The episode recounts the tragic demise of the beloved King Cobra, and the circumstances surrounding his death are far from ordinary.

Just before his final moments, Imu and the Five Elders unveil their true forms, leaving even Sabo in shock, as he never anticipated finding hell at the top of the world.

One Piece Episode 1119 also sheds light on how Sabo became implicated in the murder of Cobra. While he was standing next to the injured king, a Den Den Mushi captured a photo, which was then released to the public.

The episode also explores how the unlikely alliance between Vivi, Wapol, and Morgans came to be. Although some details remain to be revealed, it becomes clear that both Wapol and Vivi are now marked enemies of the World Government. Sabo has already warned that anyone with knowledge of Imu will be hunted down, and the death of Cobra and the annihilation of the Kingdom of Lulusia serve as evidence of this.

Overall, One Piece Episode 1119 is exciting and well paced, which is a pleasant surprise given the anime's reputation for inconsistent pacing. Imu and the Five Elders look terrifying in their monstrous avatars, albeit still cloaked in darkness. It reassures fans that the enemies the Straw Hats will face in the future will not be easy to deal with. The level of threat they are likely to face has escalated significantly.

Vivi and the Kingdom of Alabasta are likely to be on the side of the Straw Hats, as they both belong to the D-Clan, the natural enemy of the World Government.

In the previous episode, Sabo met Bonney at Pangaea Castle, who was also there to free Kuma. While hiding from the guards, they learned of a rumor that if a guard stumbled upon the Lost Chamber, they would be eliminated.

Meanwhile, King Cobra discussed how the World Government was formed 800 years ago by twenty monarchs who then moved to Mary Geoise and became Celestial Dragons. Alabasta's Queen Lily chose to return home, unlike the others.

However, Cobra had done some research and found out that Lily never made it back to Alabasta and that her brother ruled the kingdom instead. Cobra was then shocked to see Imu appear and take the Empty Throne.

Elsewhere, Kuma followed Charlos' orders and bound Shirahoshi in chains. To free her, Leo and Sai attacked Charlos while Morley held Kuma down.
