Sabo, Bonney, and Vivi escape from Mary Geoise in One Piece Episode 1120
Brief episode highlights
In One Piece Episode 1120, Sabo is seen bleeding profusely, barely able to walk as he is pursued by guards. Despite his condition, he continues to move forward, determined to deliver King Cobra's message to Vivi and Luffy. A guard spots him and charges, which is followed by a splash of blood.
Next, at the port, Sabo, now disguised as a guard, offers to escort King Seki and Princess Comane of the Lulusia Kingdom to their ship and becomes a stowaway on their vessel. Similarly, Bonney escapes on a ship heading to the Tajine Kingdom.
Meanwhile, in One Piece Episode 1120, even as Igaram, Chaka, and Pell keep looking for Cobra and Vivi, the latter, along with Wapol, stay hidden from the Navy soldiers behind barrels and crates. They sneak into some luggage to board the Eigis Kingdom’s ship.
Wapol reaches out to Morgans with an offer of a story in exchange for being rescued. Morgans is keen to get the information, but Wapol withholds the details from both Morgans and Vivi. He also decides not to let Vivi use his Transponder Snail to call her father, knowing that Cobra did not make it.
In One Piece Episode 1120, the Five Elders receive orders from Imu to use Vegapunk's Mother Flame to destroy the Lulusia Kingdom, which is nearby and is in the middle of a revolution. Imu also declares that they want Vivi.
Then, the names of the Five Elders are revealed: St. Jaygarcia Saturn, Godhead of Science and Defense; St. Marcus Mars, Godhead of Environment; St. Topman Warcury, Godhead of Justice; St. Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, Godhead of Finance; and St. Shepherd Ju Peter, Godhead of Agriculture.
In the present, Ivankov makes two significant observations after hearing about Imu's existence, Cobra's death, and the annihilation of the Lulusia Kingdom. He notes that among the First Twenty who created the World Government 800 years ago, there was a Saint Imu from the Nerora Dynasty.
Given the possibility of achieving immortality, Imu might be living proof of it. Ivankov suggests that it is probable that Imu likely possesses an Ancient Weapon and used it on the Lulusia Kingdom. Dragon raises the question why they had not used it before and why they are using it now.
One Piece Episode 1120 ends with Mjosgard executed for defending Fish-men. The judge is Saint Figarland Garling, a former champion of God Valley and Supreme Commander of the Holy Knights.
One Piece Episode 1120 review
One Piece Episode 1120 showcases how the world is becoming more volatile as revolutions spread rapidly. Under Fleet Admiral Akainu's orders, the Navy is dealing with the revolts in a heavy-handed manner, even deploying the Seraphim.
This aggressive approach might make the situation worse by further inciting the people, who might then be more sympathetic towards the Revolutionary Army. On top of that, the highest authorities of the World Government show complete apathy towards the whether ordinary people live or die.
One Piece Episode 1120 also sheds light on why the highest powers among the Celestial Dragons would bow down to anyone. The immortality and yokai-like powers, as evidenced from the previous episode, suggest that Imu is a terrifying enemy.
Furthermore, the episode highlights how the World Government manipulates the media to push its own narratives. For instance, Sabo was framed for murdering Cobra, and the death of the Celestial Dragon Mjosgard will not be reported. Thus, it is evident that the World Government would go to any extreme in order to maintain power. However, still in One Piece Episode 1120, Dragon continues to hold back from considering taking things to the next level.
One Piece Episode 1119 recap
In the previous episode, Cobra discovered from Imu that the D name belongs to those who opposed the First Twenty. Imu hinted that the origin of the D clan is tied to Queen Lily's mistake 800 years ago when she scattered the Ponegliffs around the world. Imu also revealed that he knew about Lily's letter and obtained from Cobra that her full name is Nefeltari D. Lily.
Imu then attacked Cobra with a spear-like tail. Sabo, who had been hiding, confronted Imu and the Five Elders, who transformed into shadowy figures. As Sabo tried to help Cobra escape, Cobra asked him to tell Luffy and Vivi that the Nefeltari family carries the D. Although Cobra was ultimately killed, he managed to reveal that Lily's letter mentioned that the Ponegliffs bore the flag of the dawn.
Meanwhile, King Wapol, who had been watching everything, fled after being spotted by the Elders. Vivi, who had been held captive by CP0, also managed to escape with him.
