One Piece episode 1121 recap

One Piece episode 1121 began with Brannew speaking to Jango and Fullbody about how the warships in the ship graveyard were dented by Garp and Kuzan. It’s said the pair used the ships’ armor as punching bags to build their strength without Haki or Devil Fruits.

The focus then shifted to Hachinosu, where Garp effortlessly beat Sanjuan Wolf and Vasco Shot. However, he was still weakened as a result of all the fighting.

Several pirates charged at Garp, but Kuzan reappeared here and froze some of his own men as he rushed at Garp. He also recognized that even weakened Garp was still an incredibly strong enemy.

This led to a flashback which showed Kuzan first asking Garp to train him. He insisted he learned all he could from the instructors, eventually convincing Garp to take him in. The two likewise grew close with each other over the years.

The focus then returned to the present, where Garp and Kuzan hit each other with devastating punches that sent them flying. The two were also temporarily incapacitated, prompting Koby to rush to Garp and discuss escaping to the sea.

However, Pizarro targeted the ship carrying Hibari and the other SWORD members upon hearing this. The episode ended with Garp telling him to stay calm and believe in justice.

One Piece episode 1122: What to expect (speculative)?

One Piece episode 1122 will likely begin with a flashback to Garp meeting and training Koby, mirroring the flashback Kuzan got in episode 1121. This will probably transition into some sort of acknowledgment of Koby by Garp, possibly even in a context relative to Kuzan. This would also likewise serve as a death flag for Garp. However, considering the series, it’s more likely that the two will instead be separated for a significant amount of time.

Episode 1122 should also give some context as to what the other members of SWORD on the island are up to as all this is happening. More specifically, their efforts to prevent Pizarro from destroying their ship will perhaps be depicted.

The episode will likely end with Koby and Garp both executing some sort of plan, with either of them sacrificing to ensure everyone else’s safety.
