One Piece's Ohara incident has been one of the most heavily discussed events in and out of the series ever since its discovery. The Library of Ohara was considered one of the biggest deposits of knowledge within the series' narrative, all of which was lost during the Ohara incident orchestrated by the world government.

Although Jaguar D. Saul was supposedly to have perished during the incident alongside the knowledge of Ohara, his survival and the survival of Ohara's knowledge have led many fans to downplay the seriousness of the Ohara incident. One Piece chapter 1134 saw Saul showing Robin the Wondrous Owl Library, which contains the books from Ohara.

While there is some ambiguity in Saul's dialogue, many fans have started mentioning how the Ohara incident is essentially without consequence now. They argue that every bit of the knowledge once lost is currently preserved in the Owl Library.

The Ohara incident is often referred to as one of the greatest tragedies within the One Piece series due to its overall shady nature and the actual loss incurred by humanity during the incident. The Library of Ohara was practically a base for archaeologists and scholars while also serving as the birthplace of Nico Robin.

The Library of Ohara, compiled by the scholars of the island, served as one of the richest deposits of knowledge within the series' universe. Although this island was an invaluable asset to the world government, the scholars' attempts at uncovering the Void Century's secrets led to the entire island and its populace's demise.

The books and the knowledge held within the Library of Ohara were supposedly burned down during the buster call. However, recent chapters and dialogues from Vegapunk and Dragon have indicated that some of the knowledge survived.

During the events of Egghead Island, it was made clear that some books from the library had survived since they were thrown into a nearby lake by the scholars of Ohara. These books were later recollected by Saul and brought to Elbaf for safekeeping.

In the most recent chapter, Saul states that:

"In here, you'll find all the text that Ohara protected 22 years ago."

Saul's dialogue specifically states that all the protected books are currently in the Owl Library. This dialogue was eventually misinterpreted as the survival of all of Ohara's books and knowledge, thus reducing the perceived severity of the Ohara incident.

Although Saul's survival alongside the many books of Ohara does indeed tone down the severity of the incident, it does not diminish the fact that the entire populace of scholars was slaughtered during the island's annihilation. The current surviving books are a mere sliver of the knowledge the entire collective of Ohara possessed. The new library simply signifies a desperate attempt at saving Ohara's remaining knowledge.

Final Thoughts

One Piece chapter 1135 is currently scheduled for release on January 3, 2024, and it might reveal the identities and intentions of the mysterious hooded figures that appeared towards the end of chapter 1134.
