With the latest release of author and illustrator Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga setting up an incredible fight, fans are understandably desperate to learn what chapter 1119 has in store. More specifically, fans are primarily concerned with what Bonney’s abilities and powers will be in her Nika form, curious to see if she matches Luffy’s Gear 5 form in more than appearance.

Unfortunately, there are no verifiable spoilers for One Piece’s upcoming release available as of this article’s writing. While these should come later in the week, anti-manga piracy efforts in Japan throughout 2024 have brought the viability of the series’ spoiler process into question. It’s likewise possible for the process to go defunct at any given time without warning, including this release week.

That being said, there are thankfully a few key aspects of and events within the upcoming official One Piece release that fans can count on being present without spoilers’ assistance. These unsurprisingly focus on Luffy and Bonney, with the issue also likely to give a definitive update on Zoro and Jinbe considering current events.

One Piece’s next chapter should see Zoro and Jinbe create an opening for their escape from Nusjuro

One Piece’s upcoming official release should open up with a continued focus on Luffy and Bonney, likely answering whether or not her abilities match those of Gear 5 Luffy as well. This should be communicated through a demonstration of her ability to behave in a cartoonish way as Luffy does, which is described as a part of Gear 5’s powers in general. Her eyes popping out of her head is one good example of how Oda could communicate this to fans.

Focus will likely remain with the pair as they begin fighting Mars, with their attacks unlikely to affect Mars beyond overwhelming him with numbers. Bonney will likely realize this and ask Luffy why this is, to which he’ll say he doesn’t know and it’s frustrating him. The issue should tease Bonney as having an idea of what to do before shifting focus elsewhere on Egghead Island.

The Labo-Stratum is the most likely destination for the One Piece manga to go next, with Nami’s group still up there as well as Zoro, Jinbe, and presumably Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro. Nami and the rest of her group should finish prepping the Thousand Sunny for launch before looking to see what Zoro and Jinbe are up to.

The former will likely be fighting Nusjuro while Jinbe watches from a distance, waiting for a moment at which his intervention is necessary or justified. Some brief dialogue from Zoro and Nusjuro as they clash should expand on Zoro’s “Kitetsu” comment from chapter 1117. While fans are unlikely to get all the answers here, they should at least learn something new about Nusjuro or his sword through this dialogue.

Shortly after, however, it’s likely that Zoro and Jinbe will create the opening they need to escape, which should be perfectly timed with Nami and co actually launching the Thousand Sunny. This should prompt a shift in focus back to Luffy’s group, where Bonney is likely to finally damage Mars just as the other Gorosei members arrive on the scene.

Luffy and the Gorosei will likely be shown as incredibly shocked before focusing on the Gorosei specifically. They’ll likely dub Bonney just as, if not more, of a threat than Luffy at this point before being distracted by a noise behind them. This will likely be revealed as the Iron Giant who is calling out Joy Boy’s name as he walks towards Luffy and Bonney, with the issue ending on this scene.
