As the Straw Hats sail out of Egghead Island’s waters safely, fans are anxious to see what One Piece chapter 1123 first focuses on in the arc’s wrap-up phase. Unfortunately, the next installment of the series will be somewhat delayed thanks to the coming Obon holiday in Japan, which will see Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on a break week.

In turn, this also means One Piece fans will be unable to find verifiable spoilers on the upcoming issue’s events for quite some time, at least until the issue’s release week is at hand. While they may be made available early, this isn’t necessarily a given as it has both happened and not happened during many similar situations in the past.

Thankfully, there are some aspects of and events within One Piece’s upcoming installment that fans can count on being present even without the help of verifiable spoilers. A likely focus on Imu and the Gorosei is one of them, as is confirmation that the Straw Hats, and likewise, fans, will finally be heading to Elbaf next.

One Piece chapter 1123 will likely open with a continued focus on Saint Jaygarcia Saturn at Egghead Island. He’ll likely muse on his total failure aside from killing Dr. Vegapunk, which can also be argued as a failure since it triggered his message to the world. York will likely approach Saturn, prompting him to kill her while blinded by rage at his failure and how Imu will likely handle it.

This should prompt a shift in focus to Mariejois, where the other Gorosei members present will likely be summoned to the Empty Throne room by Imu himself. This could be where it’s revealed that a traitor exists among the Gorosei, especially given how Imu was hurt by Joy Boy’s Conqueror’s Haki and even recognized it as his own. This could lead him to conclude a traitor among them given the catastrophic failure of the Egghead mission.

One Piece’s upcoming issue will likely shift focus at this point to the Straw Hats, seeing the full crew reunited and accounted for as they discuss their losses. After recounting the Vegapunk deaths and confirming Stella as dead, Lilith will likely wake up and recognize it’s just her left following York’s death. Fans can also expect an answer on Stussy’s status here, likely revealing her to still be on Egghead Island.

She may try attacking Saturn here, trying to get revenge for Dr. Vegapunk, considering how emphatic she was on his importance to her. While she’ll likely be unsuccessful, Lucci and Kaku should appear at that moment, begging Saturn to give her mercy. He’ll likely accommodate them because he’s simply too tired to argue, also revealing that he’s worried about his own fate as it relates to Imu.

The focus should then return to Imu and the Gorosei, where he’ll likely brandish Saturn as the traitor since he was directly involved with the mission. The others will likely breathe a sigh of relief, accepting that Saturn is set to be killed for his failure. However, as Imu disbands them, it’ll likely be revealed that he already killed Saturn via a shift in focus to Egghead’s shores as the issue ends.
