Following chapter 1125 all but bringing the Egghead arc to its end with a focus on Imu and the Gorosei, One Piece fans are expecting chapter 1126 to begin setting up the Elbaf arc. This seems especially likely since there are no major loose threads or plot points left to wrap up for the Egghead arc with Saint Jaygarcia Saturn’s death in chapter 1125.

Unfortunately, verifiable spoilers for One Piece’s upcoming issue are unavailable as of the time of this article’s writing. While they are likely to come at some point this week, there is no guarantee given their inherently illicit nature. Likewise, recent anti-manga piracy efforts in Japan have put the longevity and status of the series’ spoiler process in doubt.

Thankfully, there are some aspects of and events within One Piece’s upcoming installment that fans can count on being present even without the help of verifiable spoilers. However, it’s likely that the issue continues dealing with the Egghead arc’s fallout rather than diving into the Elbaf arc, which will instead likely be set up at its end.

One Piece’s upcoming official release, chapter 1126, will likely open up with a focus on the new Gorosei in the wake of Saturn’s death. They’ll likely discuss Garling’s role as commander of the Holy Knights and how that may change going forward. Garling will likely reveal that a new commander was named in his stead, teasing the likely introductions of these characters at some point during the Elbaf arc.

Focus will likely then shift to Imu briefly, but be relatively uninformative. Fans may see him holding Luffy and Vivi’s wanted posters again, maybe even calling the former Joy Boy given the events that unfolded at Egghead Island. In any case, fans shouldn’t expect much from an Imu cameo in the upcoming chapter if one even ends up happening at all.

From here, the issue will likely begin setting up the Elbaf arc in one of two ways. The first would likely be a discussion between Luffy and the Straw Hats with Dorry, Brogy, and the other Giants. In this scenario, fans can expect to learn of something troubling Elbaf which needs Luffy’s help, explaining why the pair decided to go to Egghead and rescue him. While it’s possible there may not be a reason, this would serve as a good way to tease what the Elbaf arc will focus on.

The other option would be to simply focus on Elbaf itself and actually show One Piece readers what the issues are rather than tell them. This would also allow the key characters of the arc to be introduced earlier, saving time later on when the Straw Hats arrive at Elbaf. This would also likely give fans a look at Jaguar D. Saul, which would be equally exciting.

In either scenario, the issue is likely to follow this with its final focus on Jewelry Bonney, Bartholomew Kuma, and Vegapunk Lilith. The trio will likely begin to discuss or think about whether or not they want to join the Straw Hats and keep sailing with them, or try to find somewhere else to go. While chapter 1126 is unlikely to see them answer this question, it should at least establish that they are thinking about their options ahead of time.
