Following the unconventional arrival of “Shanks” to Elbaph, One Piece fans are desperate to learn exactly who this character is, and why he looks exactly like the fan-favorite Yonko. Although it’s currently unconfirmed that he’s a different character than Shanks, existing fan theories plus these latest events all but confirm that to be the case.

Unfortunately, fans will still need to wait a bit for One Piece chapter 1135’s verifiably spoilers, with leaks of any veracity unavailable as of this article’s writing. Moreover, 2024 has been a very active year for anti-manga piracy efforts in Japan, even resulting in international legal action. Resultantly, spoilers are no longer as inherently reliable or guaranteed as they once may have been.

However, the upcoming One Piece issue should be fairly predictable in terms of its overall focus and major story beats. While “Shanks” likely will be a major part of the upcoming issue, fans are unlikely to learn anything significant beyond confirmation that he isn’t the Yonko readers know and love.

One Piece chapter 1135 is likely to confirm that Elbaph’s invader isn’t Shanks via lack of trademark scar

One Piece chapter 1135 should open up with a continued focus on Elbaph’s invaders, seeing them briefly speak about their arrival here. This may lead to very ambiguous commentary on what they’re doing here, but fans likely won’t discover their true motives in any capacity here. Instead, a general discussion of who sent them and their thoughts on the mission will likely be the main topics addressed.

However, what little they say of their objectives should lead to a reveal of their full appearances. More specifically, the appearance of “Shanks” should be revealed in such a way that confirms he is missing the scar on his left eye which the real Shanks has. Likewise, dialogue should simultaneously confirm that this man is the one who met with the Gorosei during the Reverie Arc, rather than the actual Shanks as first thought.

One Piece chapter 1135 should shift focus back to Luffy and co, who are being shown the Walrus Academy school. They’ll likely learn more about King Harald here since he’s being portrayed as the leading figure of Elbaph who pushed for such change in their culture. This may also lead to details about how King Harald was killed, which may give viewers some insight as to the truth behind Loki’s alleged crimes.

In between this, fans can expect a few new characters to be introduced or reappear, namely some Giant children. Colon is likely to be one of them since he was instructed to bring food to Ripley by the bartender who gave him some for him and his father. This should prompt Colon to meet and speak with Luffy, revealing what Shanks said about him. Although fans theorized it was something negative, this is unlikely to be the case given the arc’s progression.

At that moment, the focus should briefly shift to the Underworld, where Loki will suddenly pause in his conversation with Mosa due to sensing something above. He should vaguely comment on this and give some indication as to his relation to the “Shanks” who just arrived. In the issue’s final panels, the focus will likely return to the Straw Hat crew, where Luffy, Jinbe, Sanji, Zoro, and Usopp (as their confirmed Observation Haki users) will also notice a foreboding presence.
