One Piece final saga is in its full swing, with the Straw Hat Pirates currently divided on Elbaph Island. With their future fates unknown, the fandom is eager to know how their tale would end. However, a detour might see this pirate crew engaged in another Davy Back Fight against one of the most infamous pirate crews in the world for the custody of some allies and some former enemies.

With Hachinosu Island present near Elbaph Island, the Straw Hat Pirates might encounter the Blackbeard Pirates. With individuals like Pudding and Garp currently in the custody of the latter crew, the Straw Hat Pirates might need to risk some of their crewmates to free these people for future benefit.

Davy Back Fight is a historical pirate game that originated from the Pirate Island (Hachinosu Island). The game consists of two pirate crews betting their crew members over some challenges, and whoever wins the game gets to take away the other crew members. The fight was introduced in One Piece during the Long Ring Long Island arc, where it took place between the Foxy Pirates and the Straw Hats.

Currently, on Pirate Island, the Blackbeard Pirates are the rulers, with Marshall D. Teach as the king. After winning the Pirate Island, Marshall D. Teach started an ambiguous plan, first abducting Charlotte Pudding and later, during the Egghead arc, capturing Monkey D. Garp when he infiltrated the island to save Captain Koby.

The Pirate Island is present in the same area of the Grand Line as Elbaph Island (New World), where the Straw Hat Pirates are currently divided into two groups. With Luffy's group currently in the middle of the island, Robin and the others might enter the Pirate Island before heading to Elbaph Island.

During the Egghead arc, Caribou was recruited by the Blackbeard Pirates as an intermediate ally, and he could have told Teach about the whereabouts of Pluton, the Ancient Weapon present at Wano. As expected, the Blackbeard Pirates could have visited Wano, and since it is underwater, they could have returned after retrieving a hostage, which could be Yamato.

Once the Straw Hat Pirates enter Egghead, they would see Yamato, Garp, and Pudding trapped there, possibly leading them to challenge Blackbeard for a battle. With the Davy Back Fight originating from the Pirate Island, it would fit the lore for both of these crews to fight in the same battle, thus marking the return of the Davy Back Fight in the final saga.

Analysis and Final Thoughts

There are many things to consider before declaring this 'speculation' as a theory. Yamato's story is currently ongoing in the cover stories of One Piece, titled Oni Child Yamato's Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage. Therefore, her capture by the Blackbeard Pirates seems unlikely.

Moreover, Blackbeard's plan is currently under the phase of construction (as he hasn't unveiled what his aims are). Thus, him challenging the Straw Hat Pirates to a Davy Back Fight might be going too far. Take this theory just as a form of entertainment, nothing too serious.
