During the final voyage in the One Piece series, the Roger Pirates traveled the Grand Line by reaching the last island, Laugh Tale. As shown in the manga and the anime, when the pirates reached the final island, they laughed their hearts out, especially Gol D. Roger.

Kozuki Oden documented all this information during his journey with the Roger Pirates. A recent One Piece theory has been making rounds on the internet that may have hinted at why the Roger Pirates were laughing when they found the treasure left behind by Joy Boy at Laugh Tale.

As per the theory, Roger and his crew may have encountered "the voices of the past" on Laugh Tale. This phrase isn't a metaphor. Instead, they could have literally heard voices from the past, which were their own, and this revelation made them laugh.

What is hidden at Laugh Tale is a device, plant, or power capable of storing voices across time, both from the past and the future. This power foretells future events and reveals one's destiny. Upon hearing his voice and seeing his future death, Roger may have understood the whole truth.

The Roger pirates embarked on a grand adventure only to arrive at Laugh Tale and discover a device that shows everything you did, like a recording. The sight would undoubtedly make one laugh, as it signifies the inescapability of fate and the futility of trying to change it.

However, this theory also leads one to question whether Shanks is aware of all this. If he is aware, it adds another layer of mystery and depth to his character and actions throughout the series.

As Atlas intervenes, the Thousand Sunny launches amidst the chaos, while Emeth, addressing Luffy as Joy Boy, prepares to confront the Gorosei. Emeth loses an arm in the ensuing skirmish, prompting a battle on multiple fronts. Meanwhile, Vegapunk broadcasts about Gol D. Roger's true name, impacting Impel Down prisoners.
