One Piece chapter 1130 will be officially released on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus website and app on October 21, 2024. The last installment of Eiichiro Oda’s addictive pirate-themed manga before a two-week hiatus, this chapter will focus the Straw Hat crew’s adventure in Elbaf. Famous for being “Warland”, the One Piece world’s most powerful nation, Elbaf is led by a Giant known as Prince Loki.
In the past, Charlotte Linlin “Big Mom” tried to set up a political marriage between Loki and one of her daughters. Her aim was to integrate Loki’s army into the ranks of the Big Mom Pirates. While the plan failed, Big Mom was confident that having the Giants of Elbaf as allies would have given her crew enough of a power boost to surpass all the other Emperors of the Sea.
Many fans assumed that this was an exaggeration on Big Mom’s part, but the spoilers for One Piece chapter 1130 reveal that she had a point. The chapter reveals Prince Loki to be an insanely powerful individual, far stronger than even Giants of the caliber of Dorry and Brogy, which confirms that Big Mom was absolutely right.

One Piece chapter 1130 implies that Loki is a top-tier fighter, proving that Big Mom was right about Elbaf
There’s a reason for Elbaf’s reputation
Ever since Loki’s name was first mentioned in One Piece, there have been doubts regarding his individual strength. The Giants of Elbaf have a reputation for strength, and while the youngest ones, such as Hajrudin, are relatively weak, the most experienced natives of the country, such as Dorry and Brogy, are powerful fighters who are strong enough to compete with most Yonko Commanders.
Before the news featured in the latest chapter, the general consensus among fans was that Big Mom was only interested in Loki because of his political role in the arranged marriage. Essentially, the idea was that Big Mom only wanted Loki’s army, with the Prince of Elbaf only valuable for his authority over the other Giants.
The confirmed spoilers of the latest chapter provide a very different picture, implying that Big Mom was not only interested in Loki’s army but also wanted him to become her son-in-law because of his individual fighting skills. She saw these skills as a fundamental part of the army that she believed strong enough to allow her to surpass Kaido, Shanks, and Whitebeard.
Granted, this was Big Mom’s personal viewpoint, and the subjective opinion of characters are often proven wrong in fictional series. One Piece is no exception to this rule. However, this doesn’t appear to be the case. As seen with Dorry and Brogy, Giants born in Elbaf are particularly strong fighters. The latest chapter implies that Loki is so powerful that even Dorry and Brogy pale in comparison.
Loki’s incredible hype in One Piece chapter 1130
According to the leaks, the chapter sees Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, and Chopper starting to explore Elbaf after easily defeating the false Sun God and his beasts. However, Luffy suddenly moves away, saying he wants to check the source of a formidable presence.
Zoro is also fascinated by the source of this strong energy. However, Sanji stops the green-haired swordsman from following Luffy, telling him that he would surely get lost in the forest as usual. The mysterious person emitting the powerful energy is soon revealed to be none other than Loki.
The chapter reveals that Loki is the evil son of the previous monarch of Elbaf, King Harald. Loki killed Harald in order to claim a certain legendary Devil Fruit, which had been passed down through the generations of Elbaf’s royal family. It’s also stated that Loki is so powerful that all the warriors of Elbaf had to join forces in order to stop him.
In One Piece chapter 1130, Loki’s full appearance is shown as Luffy meets him. Held by massive chains, Prince Loki appears as a lean, muscular giant with long hair and a goatee beard. He has an ax strapped on his back and wears a helmet with two long horns on it. For some reason, his eyes are covered with bandages.
Talking to Luffy with a malevolent grin, Loki declares himself the “Sun God” who will bring the end fo the world.
Big Mom’s words make sense now
When her daughter Charlotte Lola ran away before the arranged wedding, Big Mom tried to replace the former with her twin sister Chiffon. The trick was exposed, but such behavior shows that Big Mom was willing to do anything to integrate the Elbaf militia within the ranks of her crew. One Piece chapter 1130 makes it clear why.
There are dozens of powerful Giants in Elbaf, but their leader Loki is an absolute monster in his own right. The evil prince was able to kill the previous leader of Elbaf, and got far stronger since then, as he ate a formidable Devil Fruit. It’s worth noting that in Elbaf, the monarch isn’t just a political figure but is also supposed to be the country’s mightiest warrior.
The nature and powers of this Devil Fruit are still unknown, but its abilities only add to Loki’s innate strength. His Haki is bound to be formidable, considering that Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji felt his aura from a huge distance. Most likely, Loki’s presence is the reason why Zoro has been on guard about something since the beginning of the arc.
That said, fans will have to wait at least two weeks to see Loki in action due to the One Piece manga’s upcoming hiatus. Needless to say, the break comes at the worst possible time, as the series has just introduced one of the most menacing adversaries that the Straw Hat Pirates have ever faced.
