One Piece chapter 1125 was recently leaked and it was a chapter filled with revelations and information. The chapter mostly focused on the fall of Saturn and his replacement among the Elders of the Gorosei. In that regard, there is something that perhaps a lot of fans didn't pick up on and that is the reason why the World Government chose to build the Tequila Wolf bridge, among many more, for so many centuries.

Tequila Wolf was the place Nico Robin was sent to by Bartholomew Kuma at the tail-end of the Sabaody arc and One Piece fans wondered for years what was the reasoning for the creation of these bridges. However, readers finally got an answer in chapter 1125 in typical Eiichiro Oda fashion, and makes perfect sense when considering Dr. Vegapunk's message to the world.

One Piece chapter 1125 finally explains the reason why the World Government was building the Tequila Wolf bridge

As mentioned earlier, Tequila Wolf was a bridge at the East Blue and was built by the World Government while forcing innocent people to work on it. Nico Robin was sent there by Bartholomew Kuma at the end of the Sabaody arc and was held prisoner there, although she was eventually saved by the Revolutionary Army, who were the people she spent the two-year time skip with.

Fans often wondered about the goal behind the construction of these bridges, which took centuries and were spread all across the different seas, but now the recently leaked chapter 1125 had the Revolutionary Army reacting to Dr. Vegapunk's message. It was stated by Ivankov during their conversation that the world sinking is the reason why the World Government has been building these bridges for so many centuries.

This revelation makes perfect sense and goes to show how author Eiichiro Oda managed to connect that plot point from so many chapters ago in such a seamless manner. It also explains why they were so eager to build these bridges and further proves that Imu and his or her organization have been aware of the world sinking for centuries now.

The ramifications of Vegapunk's message

There is no denying that Dr. Vegapunk's recorded message to the world was probably one of the most important moments in recent history in One Piece. That is mainly because he revealed a lot of important secrets to the world regarding the World Government, such as the threat of every island sinking and also the fact that Joy Boy's existence has been confirmed when it was mostly a legend until that point.

As mentioned by Monkey D. Dragon in the recent chapter 1125, while is true that Vegapunk had the best intentions with this message and is attempting to help humanity, this information can be used by evil people as well. It is a situation where now everyone knows there is a countdown of sorts and the government has been keeping information from them.

Final thoughts

Dr. Vegapunk's message confirms the reason why the World Government chose to build the Tequila Wolf bridge and many more throughout the seas of One Piece. Now it begs the question of what Dragon, Luffy, and other major players in the story are going to do with this information.
