One Piece chapter 1120 was recently leaked and had some interesting elements but one of the most prevalent moments was Emeth, the Iron Giant, fighting the Elders of the Gorosei, which could prove to be the key to defeating them.

One of the biggest hints of this theory is the fact that the leaders of the World Government attempted to tear the giant's arms apart, which is weird because the Transmission Transponder Snail is not located there.

When considering that the Gorosei want the Transmission Transponder Snail to stop Dr. Vegapunk's message to the world, which is still going in the One Piece manga, this means that the attack on Emeth's arms was a tactical one.

The giant already managed to hit Warcury and even break one of his fangs, so there is a strong argument to be made here that he has special qualities and/or sheer raw strength to inflict pain on these individuals.

Explaining how Emeth could be the key to defeating the Gorosei in One Piece

As mentioned earlier, chapter 1120 of the manga was recently leaked and showed different fronts. However, one of the most prominent moments was the members of the Gorosei tearing apart one of the arms of Emeth, the iron giant. Some people assumed that it was meant to be a way to get the Transmission Transponder Snail and stop Dr. Vegapunk's message, although is also fairly obvious to assume that it wasn't hidden there.

This has led to the theory that Emeth could have some power or ability that can deal serious damage to the Gorosei, further cemented by his connection to Joy Boy, and how the former feels that he "failed" the latter, hence his now-infamous apology. This is validated by the fact that Emeth's sole punch was capable of breaking one of Warcury's fangs, which is quite impressive when considering how powerful the Gorosei is.

Considering how Emeth is connected to a lot of the series' past events, possibly including the Void Century, and his constitution doesn't seem like anything that has appeared before in the story, there is a strong argument to be made that he has something special that can hurt the Gorosei. It would make sense and would also provide him with a second chance to help Joy Boy in this era.

What could happen in the coming chapters

It is difficult to predict what is going to happen in the coming One Piece chapters, although there is a good chance that Emeth is not going to make it past this arc. When considering that Luffy and his friends want to escape Egghead, it would make sense that Emeth would choose to sacrifice himself so the new Nika can survive.

The coming chapters also need to address the aftermath and consequences of Vegapunk's message to the world and the state of his remaining satellites. It does seem that the arc is currently reaching its conclusion, although it may take some time to end.

Final thoughts

It is likely that Emeth has some abilities or resources that make him capable of hurting the Gorosei, hence why they chose to go for his arms in One Piece chapter 1120. However, this is mere fan speculation as of this writing.
