One Piece chapter 1130 is set to be released on October 21, 2024, but the raw scans for the chapter have already been unveiled, and Loki's legendary devil fruit has been the talk of the town since then. While the fandom thinks of this devil fruit as a new one, it could be the one that Luffy ate at the start of the series, which was later revealed as a different fruit.

Loki's legendary devil fruit could be the original Gum-Gum devil fruit, which he thinks is the Nika fruit. The reason behind this could be the strings played by Shanks, who stole the fruit from Who's-Who, and the World Government trying to hide the fruit from the world. This also revealed that the Nika fruit could be a part of the royal lineage of Elbaph.

One Piece chapter 1130 raw scans revealed Loki's backstory, when he killed his father, the previous ruler of Elbaph, and got his hands on a legendary devil fruit. This reveal could be connected to the last dialogue of the Elbaph prince, before Monkey D Luffy, where he claimed to be the Sun God.

The status of the Sun God, as hinted in the series numerous times, goes to the person who ate the Nika fruit, the Human-Human devil fruit (Model: Nika). Luffy ate the Gum-Gum devil fruit during his childhood, but during the Wano arc, it was revealed to be the Nika fruit because the World Government has been trying since early times to hide its identity.

These events form a sequence and reveal that Loki's legendary devil fruit could be the original Gum-Gum devil fruit, as Luffy has the Nika fruit. However, before that, let's consider the Nika fruit the legacy of the royalty of Elbaph Island, which was hinted at by how Loki got his hands on the legendary devil fruit.

Loki murdering his father could be a way of passing the Nika fruit to the descendants. So, why would Loki have the Gum-Gum devil fruit, not the Nika fruit? All of this could go back to when it was revealed that Who's-Who had the Nika fruit, but the series didn't reveal how he got his hands on it. Shanks then stole the fruit from him, and Luffy ate it.

Who's-Who could have been present at the spot when Loki inherited the Nika fruit and replaced it with the Gum-Gum devil fruit. This led to the canon events playing to the current situation where the Nika fruit wielder, Monkey D Luffy, was standing before Loki, someone who was supposed to inherit the Nika fruit but has a fake one.

Analysis and final thoughts

Although this theory does sound like the real deal, there are a few things to consider before branding it as a legitimate possibility. As revealed by Dr Vegapunk in the Egghead arc, the Gum-Gum devil fruit is not present in the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia.

So, the Gum-Gum devil fruit is a fruit that does not exist and is just something the series taught the fandom. So, Loki could have a fake Nika fruit of any kind, not specifically the Gum-Gum devil fruit, because the Gum-Gum devil fruit does not exist in One Piece.
