Wyper could be considered the MVP of the Skypiea arc of One Piece, considering how he showcased his abilities against the tyrant Enel and even won some praise from one of the strongest swordsmen of the Grand Line, Roronoa Zoro.
But ever since the climax of this arc, Wyper hasn't returned, and for good reason, as he swore to protect the light of Shandora in his last appearance. Fortunately, he did make a brief return in the cover stories of the series where he seemed to have upgraded his appearance and rank.
While speculating Wyper's return would be a hard task, imagining his return due to previous events would make more sense. As showcased during the Skypiea arc, Wyper only wanted to protect his island, which also included the Poneglyph that was located there. Protecting whatever this Poneglyph hinted towards would also make his character complete, making his return possible.

One Piece: Speculating the return of Wyper
Wyper, also referred to as the Berserker, is the direct descendant of Kalgara, the friend of Mont Blanc Noland, and the former leader of Shandora who Enel overthrew. He was the first person the Straw Hat Pirates encountered when they entered Skypiea Island.
He was introduced as a minor antagonist of One Piece as he hated any foreigner who tried to visit Skypiea Island for no reason. So, he continued his attacks on the Straw Hat Pirates until they were saved by Gan Fall who told them everything about the situation going on the sky island.
Wyper's strength is no joke as he has a strong build that is capable of taking down the strongest enemies. Moreover, he also has immense knowledge of how to use Dials in a very proficient way, just like how he showcased his knowledge against the Straw Hat Pirates, even forcing Roronoa Zoro to praise his abilities.
Eventually, he joined forces with the Straw Hat Pirates to fight against the ultimate evil, Enel, and won. After the arc concluded, Wyper swore that he would keep the light of Shandora burning and would never fail his people again. After the time skip, Wyper became the leader of guards that protected the Skypiean Gods.
Wyper's last words, which stated that he would never let the fire of Shandora be blown out, can be taken in many ways. The first is, obviously, how he would also protect his people, the Shandorans, and never let anyone mess with them ever again.
The other way this statement can be taken is how he would protect the Historical Poneglyph, which was the prized possession of the Shandora people. So, this would automatically mean that Wyper could also want to protect what this Poneglyph indicted towards.
At the end of the Skypiea arc in One Piece, the Straw Hat Pirates were allowed to enter the part of the island where the giant golden bell was being kept. This was also the place where the Poneglyph was placed and Nico Robin took this chance to decipher it.
The Poneglyph gave details of the location of one of the Ancient Weapons, Poseidon (Princess Shirahoshi). So, without any roundabout way of thinking about this, Wyper could return to the Grand Line to protect Princess Shirahoshi from danger.
He could also be a part of Princess Shirahoshi's awakening as an Ancient Weapon. But as JoyBoy (Monkey D Luffy) is indicated as the man who would awaken Shirahoshi's powers, Wyper could only have a supporting role in protecting Poseidon from any potential danger.
