Admiral Fujitora's sword revealed as a Supreme Grade Sword in One Piece SBS 109
A fan asked Eiichiro Oda about Admiral Fujitora's sword in One Piece SBS 109. The author replied that his sword is named Yakuza Kasen and is a shikomizue (a cane sword, which was obvious from its appearance).
The author also revealed that the sword is one of the Supreme Grade Meito Blades (making their total count 5) and was forged by a swordsmith from the Wano Kingdom, Fugetsu Kisaburou.
One Piece chapter 1117 saw Zoro and Jinbe escape alongside Nami and her group but Admiral Nusjuro stopped them. Zoro and the Gorosei clashed swords and Zoro revealed that Saint Nusjuro possessed the last Kitetsu sword, which was also a Supreme grade sword, the Shodai Kitetsu. To fans' surprise, another Supreme Grade sword user was revealed in the SBS for the same volume.
Fujitora (real name: Isshou) is an old man who was appointed as an admiral after Admiral Kuzan left after his battle against Admiral Sakazuki. Fujitora is a blind man, but he was still appointed to one of the top positions in the Marine Corps, hinting at his power.
He can use Armament and Observation Haki, both of which he has displayed in his battle against the pirates in the series. Fujitora was also the one who rebelled against the warlord system and managed to get it abolished.
The Admiral made his first appearance during the Dressrosa arc, the same arc during which he met the Straw Hat Pirates. His first appearance was that of a miserable man who was helpless but as soon he pulled out his Meito blade, the Yakuza kasen, his demeanor changed.
As he was an Admiral and the warlord system was still present at that time, he had to protect Doflamingo from the Straw Hat Pirates. This was also the time when he and Zoro had a little fight where Fujitora didn't use his sword that much but showcased his devil fruit abilities, the Press-Press devil fruit.
The Admiral pushed the Straw Hat deep into the hole by manipulating the gravity around him, but Zoro also sent a slash of his sword toward him. Unfortunately, Doflamingo and Fujitora had to leave, so the fight between the latter and Zoro ended without a conclusion. The recent reveal of Fujitora as Supreme Sword wielder had fans asking for a proper showdown between him and Roronoa Zoro.
