Ever since the manga's previous chapter gave fans a glimpse of Empty Void's plan against God, fans have been left restless over what new updates will brought forward by One Punch Man chapter 212. The manga chapter ended with a cliffhanger as fans wondered why Empty Void was fighting Blast despite them sharing similar goals.

The previous chapter revealed how God used a vision of Empty Void's deceased sister and disciple to convince the ninja village founder to accept his hand. As seen in the previous manga chapter, after Blast and Empty Void stopped glimpsing into each other's memories, Empty Void attacked Blast for knowing about his plan with his sister Selenian Luna. However, during this, Blast hinted that he knew about Empty Void's true plan to defeat God. Nevertheless, the manga saw the two characters resume fighting.

With that, fans can expect the manga to showcase the remainder of their fight. Additionally, the manga might also confirm whether Blast's right arm and Empty Void's swords appearing in the previous chapter were just drawing errors or part of some major development.
