One Punch Man chapter 209 has been released, and it packed a ton of action. There were plenty of elements that fans enjoyed reading. The highlight of the chapter was seeing Saitama enter the fight and effortlessly stop Void’s Dimension Blades. This not only shocked Void but also surprised Blast and Flashy Flash, the latter of whom was in the village led by Empty Void.
However, the manga reader base seemed to notice a connection between One Punch Man and Jujutsu Kaisen in the recent chapter. They believe that Yusuke Murata made a reference to one of the most popular characters from Gege Akutami’s magnum opus, Gojo Satoru.
He is considered one of the strongest sorcerers to have ever lived. It seems that the latest chapter connected Empty Void and Gojo Satoru in a way nobody expected.

How is One Punch Man chapter 209 connected to Jujutsu Kaisen’s Gojo Satoru?
As mentioned earlier, the latest chapters focused on the fight taking place between Blast and Empty Void. The latter underwent a transformation that granted him powers capable of overwhelming even Blast. Despite Blast’s willingness to fight him alone, Flashy Flash and Speed-o’-sound Sonic entered the battlefield.
He wanted to thwart the group immediately and unleashed the Dimension Slash. This technique cannot be stopped, as it can quite literally cut through space itself. However, Saitama managed to catch the slash with ease, shocking Empty Void. In desperation, Empty Void released another Dimension Slash, but Saitama neutralized it instantly.
Following this, Empty Void performed a hand sign that isn’t particularly odd as he comes from a village filled with Shinobis. However, the hand sign he used was exactly the same as the one Gojo used in Jujutsu Kaisen. Gojo used a very specific hand sign to use the Infinite Void ability. It’s clear that Yusuke Murata wanted to pay homage to Gege Akutami’s manga series in this latest chapter. Let’s take a look at how the fanbase reacted to the reference that was made in chapter 209.
Fans reacted to One Punch Man chapter 209 and the reference made to Gojo Satoru
"Peak inspires peak," said one fan.
"He's like sukuna and gojo fused together," said another.
"funny thing is gojo's move is also called Mugen/infinite void," said another.
"NEVER compare Void to that clown again," said one netizen.
Fans absolutely loved that Murata made a reference to Gege Akutami's manga series. Gojo Satoru is a character beloved by millions, and Empty Void also seems to be quite popular among fans of the manga. Seeing a connection between these two fan favorites warmed the hearts of readers, who also appreciated the play on words.
The character's name, Empty Void, cleverly parallels Gojo's technique, which utilizes the hand sign known as Infinite Void. Additionally, some fans felt that Empty Void resembled a fusion of Sukuna and Gojo Satoru. That being said, some netizens weren't happy with the comparison made to Gojo Satoru.
