Oshi no Ko chapter 130: Aqua shares his tactic with Mem-Cho as he aims to use her

With the release of Oshi no Ko chapter 130, fans saw Mem-Cho trying to deal with her new work environment. While she has experience working in the entertainment field, acting is quite different. Hence, she tries to push through, willing to never stop taking a step forward.

The previous chapter saw the filming for the "15-Year Lie" movie begin. With that, Kana, Akane, and Mem-Cho all delivered their first takes perfectly. However, Ruby faced a hiccup as Director Taishi Gotanda had her do the opening shot 13 times. After Ruby gave a perfect shot, it was revealed that the director had provoked her purposely to anger Ruby and have her emulate Ai's emotions perfectly.

Oshi no Ko chapter 130: Mem-Cho inspects her new work

Oshi no Ko chapter 130, titled Basic Tactic, opened with Mem-Cho doing a live stream after a long time. Upon beginning the stream, she immediately announced to her fans that she was set to star in a movie. With that, she told her fans that she had moved on to better things and was leaving them behind. While some fans were proud of her and others were intimidated by her, there was a small group of fans who believed that Mem-Cho was scared.

The manga chapter then focused on Mem-Cho's monologue. She revealed how her life had been full of challenges, ranging all the way from leaving high school to becoming an idol. However, she had never backed down from taking a step.

However, the acting industry seemed different to her as people were very critical of one's work. One of the makeup artists advised Mem-Cho to learn from Akane, as girls like her were favored by Kaburagi Masaya. Kana Arima added that a production company always liked people who were easy to work with. Considering that a lot of people needed to be paid for a single shot, any mistake, unless absolutely necessary, will not be rectified.

In addition, the environment in the film set did not help Mem-Cho in any way, given that everybody had a lot of expectations as they looked at her with piercing eyes. Nevertheless, Mem-Cho wasn't too worried as she has had experience performing on stage in front of large crowds.

Soon after, the manga focused on an encounter between Mem-Cho and Aqua. Aqua had no shots on the day. Despite that, he had arrived to check for any issues. Upon witnessing Aqua's commitment, Mem-Cho questioned Aqua about his goal behind getting the film made. While she could understand that Aqua wanted to condemn his father, he could also feel a personal touch to it.

Aqua shared that she was only feeling that way because of the help he received from professionals like the director, Abiko-sensei, and Kichijoji-sensei. Mem-Cho was shocked to learn about the help Aqua received. However, as conveyed by him, the two managaka were more than willing to help. Given Aqua's mission, he was ready to use anyone he could.

Immediately after, Mem-Cho asked Aqua if he was using her as well. To this, Aqua responded that he was making the most out of her.

Later in the chapter, Aqua Hoshino could be seen watching Ai's DVD that she had recorded for the twins' 15th birthday. As evident from the video, Ai told Aqua the secret about his father. Upon watching the same, Aqua reaffirmed his goals.

Final thoughts on Oshi no Ko chapter 130

Oshi no Ko chapter 130 ended with a cliffhanger as it did not reveal what Ai revealed about Hikaru Kamiki.

Unfortunately, it seems like the mangaka does not plan to reveal the same until way later in the series. To make things worse for fans, the manga will also be on a break next week.
