With the release of Oshi no Ko chapter 153, the manga finally saw Hikaru Kamiki accepting his crimes. Moreover, he also revealed his real relationship with Ai and why he decided to kill her. Surprisingly, there's more to it as the real "15 Year Lie" was meant as a message to Hikaru and not the world.

The previous chapter saw the early screening of the "15 Year Lie" movie take place, following which everyone analyzed Ruby's acting skills. Later, the manga focused on Aqua as he could be seen answering an interviewer. Surprisingly, the person questioning him was none other than his father Hikaru Kamiki.

Oshi no Ko chapter 153, titled Fiction, opened with Aqua Hoshino confronting Hikaru Kamiki as the real father of Taiki Himekawa, Ruby, himself, and the person behind the murder of B-Komachi idol Ai.

Hikaru was impressed by Aqua as he had thoroughly researched him for the movie. This was also evident from the script as several facts were accurate and the cast's acting made the movie enjoyable. Nevertheless, Hikaru believed that the movie could only be considered fictional.

That's because several scenes in the movie were fabricated and exaggerated, and everything inconvenient was completely concealed. The main portion that bothered Hikaru was the way the film depicted his relationship with Ai.

While the movie depicted his relationship to be a mutually agreed age-appropriate relationship, in reality, the relationship was nothing but mutual.

As per Hikaru Kamiki, Ai Hoshino never loved him. The real Ai wasn't as affectionate and the real Hikaru was very depraved of love.

The only reason Ai didn't reject him was because she did not know how to take care of herself. Thus, eventually, when Ai dumped him, he killed him out of spite. The truth was much more realistic than dramatic.

Right after, Hikaru congratulated Aqua for accomplishing his mission to kill him socially. With that, he also expressed that he was okay with being apprehended if that was what Ai had wished for.

Just then, Aqua Hoshino stopped Hikaru as he had seemingly misunderstood the concept of "15 Year Lie." While everyone believed that "15 Year Lie" was meant to hint at Ai's lie to the world, the "lie" was seemingly projected at Hikaru.

Oshi no Ko chapter 153 then switched to Hikaru's flashback from the time he went to Seijuro Uehara and Airi Himekawa. During this, Kindaichi spoke to him, asking him to shoulder the burden of Seijuro and Airi's deaths. Upon hearing this, Hikaru started panicking as he believed that responsible for their deaths.

The chapter then saw Hikaru describing how people would gaze at him for his appearance, making the words "I love you" lose their meaning. Due to that, the only way he felt he could experience love was if he gave up his body to others.

However, that wasn't the case with Ai, as Hikaru believed that Ai was the same as him and understood him. Nevertheless, it was Ai Hoshino who had seemingly asked Hikaru to stop meeting her. This incident broke Hikaru's world from within.
