Oshi no Ko chapter 152, titled Interview, saw the '15-Year Lie' movie receive an early screening. By the end of the movie, many viewers had begun sobbing. While some had gotten emotional due to their involvement in the film, others were saddened by its story.

Ruby's co-stars believed that her acting at the start was poor; however, she managed to save herself through the climax, which determined the film's impact.

The manga also saw Taishi Gotanda and Kaburagi Masaya discuss their involvement in the film and whether they succeeded in helping bring out the truth behind Ai's death. Finally, in the manga, Aqua met Hikaru Kamiki and stated that the only way he and Ruby could go forward was by taking revenge on him.
