With the release of Oshi no Ko chapter 160, the manga series saw Aqua Hoshino confronting Hikaru Kamiki about his lies. Hikaru had previously played innocent, sharing how he had never taken any action to harm Ai. However, with Fuyuko Niino's confession, the truth finally came to light.

The previous chapter saw Akane Kurokawa save Ruby Hoshino by taking her place and stopping Niino's murder plan. With that, Ichigo was able to stop her. Elsewhere, Hikaru was seemingly watching B-Komachi's performance live on his phone when Aqua Hoshino approached his father to confront him about his lies.

Oshi no Ko chapter 160 opened with Hikaru Kamiki defending himself from Aqua, claiming that he had never harmed anyone. While that may have been true, he was the one who instigated Fuyuko Niino and Ryosuke Sugano to commit crimes for him. He kept talking about Ai nonstop, not allowing them to get her out of their minds.

Hikaru Kamiki again tried lying to Aqua, claiming that he only spoke to Ryosuke and Niino about Ai because they seemed nice to him. Nevertheless, Aqua refuses to accept these lies, as no matter what happens, despite knowing about Nino's mental state, he never attempts to stop her from getting close to Ruby.

Right after, Aqua accused his father of trying to kill his daughter, Ruby Hoshino. Hikaru had intentionally stirred Niino and Ryosuke's hearts to commit his crimes for him. With that, his hands were never sullied. Aqua believed that these actions were even more hideous than those of a murderer.

This exchange helped Hikaru realize that Aqua had the same eyes as himself. Hikaru had the ability to deceive others through his star-quality charisma. With Aqua having the same eyes, he was certain that his son had also deceived people in his life. Aqua agreed without any hesitation but made sure to mention that Ruby Hoshino was different than both of them.

While they used their eyes to deceive people, Ruby was filled with love and used her abilities to sing songs of love that could help others. Therefore, considering that Hikaru tried killing her, Aqua could no longer control himself. Hence, he decided to carry out the original revenge plan he had thought of for his father, which was to kill him.

Final thoughts on Oshi no Ko chapter 160

With Oshi no Ko chapter 160 ending with Aqua threatening to kill his father for his attempted murder of Ruby, the upcoming chapter could be decisive for the manga's future. For now, there is no way of saying if Aqua will go through with the plan or back out at the last second. There is also the possibility that someone will come to stop Aqua from committing a murder, possibly the Crow Girl.
