Oshi no Ko chapter 162 is set to be released on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 12 am JST. Following the manga series' return from break, it is set to release its upcoming chapter next week. The Oshi no Ko manga can be read on Shueisha's MANGA Plus.

The previous chapter saw Aqua Hoshino threaten to kill Hikaru Kamiki. Just then, his father helped him realize that such an action would only jeopardize his future and Ruby's idol career. Hence, Aqua decided to stab himself, framing Hikaru for trying to kill him. Following that, he got hold of his father and jumped off the cliff, ending both of their lives.

Oshi no Ko chapter 161, titled Future, saw Hikaru Kamiki try to convince Aqua that killing him would achieve nothing. While he would successfully save Ruby's future, that wouldn't be the case for her idol career. This is because she will get labeled a "murderer's brother." Moreover, it would also destroy all of Aqua's dreams as well.

With that in mind, Aqua thought of a plan that would frame Hikaru Kamiki for trying to murder Aqua. Aqua stabbed himself, got hold of Hikaru, and jumped off the cliff. This development saw both Aqua and Hikaru heading toward their imminent deaths.
