Oshi no Ko chapter 166, titled Star, picked up from the previous chapter, as after Aqua Hoshino's death, Ruby could not stop crying. She kept crying the most but still rose up and clenched her teeth without being able to sort out her feelings. With nothing to save her, she started running forward all while carrying the pain of losing her brother. During this, Ruby manifested her second white star eye, finally completing her pair.

As for the other characters, Mem-Cho was planning on taking a hiatus, but Kana scolded her for it. Right after, the B-Komachi reunited for the first time after Aqua's death. Other characters like Frill Shiranui, Minami Kotobuki, Melt Narushima, Taiki Himekawa, and Miyako Saitou were also saddened after Aqua's death but kept moving forward in their own way.

As for the Oshi no Ko manga's heroines, Kana and Akane, both of them resumed their careers but had trouble controlling their emotions. While Kana broke down while acting a scene, Akane was shown to be unfazed while being pranked in a variety show. In addition, the manga also revealed that B-Komachi was looking for new members and the 15-Year Lie movie won a Japan Academy Award.

Right after, Oshi no Ko chapter 166 saw Akane Kurokawa act as a narrator and explain to Aqua everything that happened afterward. With Ruby's tragedy becoming drama for people, the fans could not take their eyes off of her. This media attention helped B-Komachi grow as an idol group and be granted the chance to perform at the Tokyo Dome.

As for Ruby, she had become an idol similar to her mother Ai as everyone was enchanted by her and believed that she was born to bring light into darkness like the stars in the night sky.

Right after, Oshi no Ko chapter 166 switched to Ruby Hoshino's home as she could be seen leaving for rehearsals at 5:30 am. She knew she had to keep lying as an idol but thought it was an incredible job. With both Ai and Aqua having illuminated her path as an idol, she wanted them to watch over her. Right after, Ruby left her home for rehearsals.
