As fans would know, Oshi no Ko manga is currently in its final story arc, Toward the Stars and Dreams. Hence, fans had been looking forward to witnessing its end, i.e., how Aqua and Ruby's story arcs would end.

However, given the story's progression, fans first hoped to witness an end to Aqua and Kana's love story angle. Unfortunately, this storyline has to be kept on hold as chapter 158 spoilers saw the manga take an unexpected turn, switching the series's focus back to Ruby.

With such a development, the manga series has come full circle as Ruby shared the same experience as her mother, Ai.

Oshi no Ko chapter 158 sees Ruby experience Ai's fate from the prologue

As fans might remember, since her debut as an idol, B-Komachi lead Ai was aiming to perform at the Tokyo Dome. Unfortunately, on the day of her big concert, she was stabbed at her doorstep by an obsessed fan called Ryosuke.

Ryosuke was in love with Ai and had glorified her in his mind as an idol who only loved her fans and had no personal relationships with other men. However, in reality, Ai had a relationship with a boy when she was 16 and ended up pregnant with his children.

As a result, Ryosuke felt betrayed by Ai and tried killing her on two separate occasions. While he failed at this task during her labor, he returned to finish the job on the day of B-Komachi's performance in the Tokyo Dome. This time, he succeeded at his task and stabbed and killed Ai on her big day.

Unexpectedly, Oshi no Ko chapter 158 spoilers depicted Ruby Hoshino experiencing a similar fate. With Kana Arima soon set to leave the B-Komachi idol group, Ruby Hoshino, with her increased popularity, would take over as its leader. Therefore, the B-Komachi live tour's final performance was as important for her as the group's current leader, Kana Arima.

Unfortunately, on the day of the live tour's final performance, i.e., December 25, Ruby Hoshino gets stabbed with a knife, just like her mother, Ai. However, unlike Ai who was stabbed by a fan (Ryosuke) out of spite, Ruby was seemingly stabbed by former B-Komachi member Fuyuko Niino.

As fans know, Fuyuko Niino was obsessed with Ai and could not bear to see any idol surpass Ai, even if it were her own daughter. Therefore, Niino might have stabbed Ruby to stop her from surpassing her mother and former B-Komachi leader Ai as an idol. Although both occasions saw the mother and daughter get stabbed for different reasons, they experienced the same fates as idols.
