Following the overwhelming success of Oshi no Ko anime, the series has returned with Oshi no Ko season 2 released as part of the Summer 2024 anime season. The anime's first season ended with the new B-Komachi idol group performing for the first time. As for Aqua, he agreed to join the cast of Tokyo Blade Stage Play.

However, unlike his work in the "I'll Go With Sweet Today" show, the stage play needed rehearsals. Thus, the second season began with the cast members rehearsing for the same. From the context, it seems like Oshi no Ko season 2 requires a lot more episodes than the first season. So, how many episodes has the anime been listed for?

Oshi no Ko season 2 anime is slated for 13 episodes according to the information revealed by the anime's official website. The anime's previous season only had 11 episodes. However, its first episode had a runtime of 1 hour 22 minutes, which was close to the runtime of four individual anime episodes. This effectively meant that the anime's first season had a runtime of nearly 14 episodes.

In comparison, the second season's runtime with 13 episodes is less. Nevertheless, it should possibly cover the same amount of content from the manga.

Oshi no Ko season 1 covered four story arcs, namely Prologue: Childhood Arc, Show Business Arc, Dating Reality Show Arc, and The First Concert Arc. These four arcs encapsulated 40 chapters from the manga.

Similarly, the second season might also adapt 40 chapters from the manga. In doing so, the anime will likely adapt two story arcs - 2.5D Stage Play Arc and Private Arc.
