Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 1 is set to be released on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. However, days before the anime's premiere, animation studio Doga Kobo released the preview synopsis and images of the episode. The upcoming episode will be titled "Tokyo Blade," and will be available to stream on HIDIVE internationally.

The previous season saw Aqua Hoshino using his connection with Kaburagi Masaya to learn about his mother's past. Meanwhile, Ruby began her career as an idol and formed the new B-Komachi idol group alongside Kana Arima and Mem-Cho. The anime's finale saw B-Komachi performing for the first time.

As evident from the preview synopsis of Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 1, the upcoming episode will see the rehearsals for the Tokyo Blade stage play begin. This means that all the cast members of the stage play will be gathered together by the production committee.

With that, the anime's upcoming episode might see the cast members do their first rehearsals. But evidently, the air inside the practice area is set to be very dense as most cast members will be meeting each other for the first time. That's when Taiki Himekawa's presence will strongly stimulate the performers.

Taiki Himekawa is the poster boy of the Lala Lai Theatrical Company, the theater troupe where Ai Hoshino attended a workshop to improve her acting skills.

As evident from the anime, Akane Kurokawa was very cautious of Kana Arima as she had lost several auditions to the former child actress. Hence, the Lala Lai Theatrical Company-affiliated actress considered the new B-Komachi lead idol a rival and a threat.

However, over time, Akane had come to believe that Kana Arima had lost confidence in her skills as a protagonist and was focusing on becoming a convenient actor by supporting other cast members. But the reality was seemingly quite different as Kana Arima could be seen bashfully displaying her acting skills during their rehearsals. Hence, Akane Kurokawa could be left threatened by her.

Abiko Samejima is the original manga creator of the Tokyo Blade manga series. Hence, seemingly, before the rehearsals for the stage play begin, she may want to meet with the cast members to give her approval for the same.

However, as evident from the preview video, she is very shy and is even set to hide behind her friend and fellow manga creator Yoriko Kichijouji when she meets the stage play cast members for the first time in the season 2 premiere.
