Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 12 opening events: The Miyazaki trip begins

Oshi no Ko season 2, episode 12 begins with a brief flashback of Gorou Amamiya and Sarina Tendouji at the hospital in Miyazaki. Returning to the present, Ruby, Kana, and Mem-Cho receive the demo of their new original song.

The group is thrilled with the quality, and Mem-Cho shares her excitement with their music video director, Anemone, who suggests shooting one for the new track as well.

On the day of the Miyazaki trip, Kana is visibly upset to see Akane joining, especially when Ruby expresses her excitement about having her brother's girlfriend along. This worsens Kana's mood. Upon arriving in Miyazaki, the group meets Anemone and chats briefly about the town's history and legends.

The new B-Komachi group then leaves to prepare for the music video shoot. With them gone, Akane and Aqua are left alone. Akane then suggests that they can go sightseeing together.

In Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 12, Aqua proposes to go to the town's hospital, sharing with Akane its sentimental value as the birthplace of both him and Ruby. At the hospital, Aqua inquires about Gorou Amamiya but learns that he was presumed to have resigned after he went off the radar.

As Aqua and Akane walk the route he used to take with Ai during her pregnancy, he reminisces about the memories. As a crow's cry brings him back to the present, he heads into the woods to search for Gorou's body, and Akane follows. However, they find nothing at the cliff where Gorou was murdered.

After cryptically asking Akane if remains from 15 years ago could still be found (presenting it as a lost pet), her response leads him to give up the search, ready to leave the past behind.

Aqua then takes Akane to his former home, presenting it as an acquaintance's house. He shares that Gorou lost his mother at birth, never knew his father, and was raised by his grandparents. According to him, Gorou had a strained relationship with his grandfather due to guilt over his mother's death.

The episode also shows how Gorou became close to Sarina, who was seemingly abandoned by her family in her final days. Sarina gave Gorou an Ai keyring as a memento and confessed her love for him before passing away.

A brief scene then features the mysterious white-haired girl from the previous episode, who comments on how both Sarina and Gorou lacked a true mother in their past lives and were guided to Ai, hinting at a deeper significance.

In Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 12, the focus shifts to the music video shoot. After spending the day shooting outdoor scenes, the team moves to filming the dance sequences in the studio. Aqua and Akane return and join the group, where Akane unexpectedly helps Kana fix her costume.

Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 12 closing events: Ruby stumbles upon Gorou's remains

In the final scenes of Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 12, Ruby and Akane leave the set early to return to the inn. On their way, a crow snatches the inn's keys from Ruby, and the two chase after it to get it back.

As they follow the crow, they chat about various topics. Ruby shares how much the area means to her and her dream of performing at the Dome to become a famous idol. She also asks Akane for love advice, mentioning a crush and how her goal of becoming popular is part of a plan to reunite with him.

Her thoughts reveal the man to be Gorou. When they finally reach the crow's nest, they stumble upon a human skeleton wearing a doctor's robe. Lying with the remains is the Ai keyring Sarina had given to Gorou.

The episode ends with Ruby recognizing the keyring and realizing the tragic fate that befell him.
