Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 2 is set to be released on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. However, days before the anime's premiere, animation studio Doga Kobo released the episode preview. The upcoming episode will be titled 'Telephone Game' and will be available to stream on HIDIVE internationally.

The previous episode saw the rehearsals for the "Tokyo Blade" Stage Play begin. With that, the anime saw Kana Arima and Taiki Himekawa's acting skills overwhelm Akane Kurokawa and others. Additionally, the episode saw the Tokyo Blade manga's creator, Abiko Samejima, request the stage play staff members to rework the script entirely.

As evident from the preview video, the upcoming anime episode is set to depict the events that took place before the previous episode's events. This is because Melt Narushima can be seemingly seen apologizing to Kana Arima for letting her down with his poor acting skills during their "I'll Go With Sweet Today" show's filming.

As evident from the previous episode, Kana Arima will forgive him and work with him diligently, giving him valuable feedback on his acting and how he could improve it. That said, before she does that, Kana will be seen worried about Melt's inclusion in the stage play cast.

As evident from the anime's previous episode, Abiko Samejima and Yoriko Kichijouji are close to each other. This is because Abiko was the creator of the "Tokyo Blade" manga. Even so, Yoriko, a senior manga artist, joined her in watching the stage play rehearsals.

While Yoriko must have joined Abiko because she feared how her anti-social junior would interact with others, there could be another reason behind her decision. The same could be explained in the upcoming episode.

There is also a chance that the upcoming episode will reveal Abiko and Yoriko's past interactions, explaining how close the two manga creators were.

One of the preview images from Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 2 saw Aqua Hoshino standing beside the stage play's scriptwriter, Goa. This suggests that Aqua might devise a solution to resolve the conflict between the scriptwriter and the manga creator Abiko Samejima.

That said, Aqua has little to no knowledge about stage plays. Hence, he might rely on his girlfriend and popular stage actress Akane Kurokawa for some help.

Given how the preview images show Akane feeling shy, there is a good chance she might do everything she can to help Aqua. Fans will have to wait until the episode is released to see what Akane can do to help her boyfriend.
