Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 2, titled 'The Game of Messaging,' introduced fans to all the Tokyo Blade stage play cast members by showing what happened on the first day of rehearsals. Following that, the anime showcased a scene that depicted Abiko Samejima and Yoriko Kichijouji's relationship. During this, the anime also saw Abiko inviting Yoriko to join her in watching the rehearsals.

Right after, the anime switched back to the present. Abiko complained about how all her corrections were seemingly ignored by the scriptwriter Goa. In reality, it wasn't Goa's fault but everyone in their middle who manipulated Abiko's corrections. However, Abiko couldn't grasp the situation and demanded that she be allowed to rewrite the script.

With the rehearsals at a halt, Akane Kurokawa asked Aqua Hoshino on a date to watch his first stage play on a circular stage.
