Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 5 is set to be released on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. However, the anime's official website released the preview images for the upcoming episode days before its premiere. The upcoming episode, titled 'Opening,' will be available to stream globally on HIDIVE.
The previous episode saw Abiko and Goa together create a wonderful script for the stage play. However, this script relied on the actor's ability to portray a scene properly. Thus, Aqua attempts to learn emotional acting. During this attempt, his PTSD gets triggered. Soon after, Akane took Aqua to Gotanda, where she explained Aqua's relationship with Ai.

Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 5 could see Aqua and Akane team up against Taiki and Kana
As seen from the start of the anime, both Aqua Hoshino and Akane Kurokawa were left bewildered after witnessing Taiki Himekawa and Kana Arima's acting skills and chemistry. Therefore, the upcoming episode could build on that and see the couple team together to defeat their rivals.
This is hinted at by the preview image that shows Akane seeming bothered by Taiki and Kana's smug faces. Hence, Aqua and Akane could ask someone to help improve their acting. Given how it seemed like Taishi Gotanda would have a bigger role in the arc, there is a chance the director will tutor the two young actors.
Sakuya could criticize Melt in Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 4
As seen in the preview, 2.5D stage play actor Sakuya Kamodshida will seemingly get angry at someone in the upcoming episode. In contrast, Melt Narushima will feel terrible about something. Considering how he has been feeling bad about his acting skills, there is a chance that Sakuya will criticize Melt in the upcoming episode.
Ruby and Minami could check up on Aqua in Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 5
As seen in episode 5, both Ruby Hoshino and Minami Kotobuki will have important roles to play in the upcoming episode. Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 5 could see the cast rehearse for the final time
The anime's preview shows Kana and Akane together on a stage. Given how their practice venue does not have a stage, it is very likely that cast members will have a final rehearsal in the upcoming episode before their first performance. This has also been hinted at by a glimpse of Ruby Hoshino that shows her seemingly seated inside a play hall.
