Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 6 is set to be released on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Hence, days before the anime episode's release, animation studio Doga Kobo unveiled a preview for the same. The upcoming episode, titled 'Growth,' will be available to stream globally on HIDIVE.

The previous episode further elevated the rivalry between Akane Kurokawa and Kana Arima by having Kana tease Akane for idolizing her in the past. In addition, the manga saw Aqua and Melt struggling to act well. While Aqua's path was being blocked by his PTSD, Melt's inexperience in acting was getting the best of him.

As fans must know, Melt Narushima was an inexperienced actor who was struggling to match his acting skills with the people around him. While he was relentlessly practicing not to disappoint his co-stars, he was nowhere close. Therefore, given how the preview hints at Aqua Hoshino bestowing Melt Narushima with a secret plan, it seems Melt must have asked his former television drama co-star for help.

That said, given how the stage play already opened in the previous episode, the chances of Aqua and Melt's conversation being a flashback are high. The only thing left to be seen is whether Melt had the appropriate amount of time to practice the same or not.

As fans might have seen in Oshi no Ko season 2, manga creator Yoriko Kichijouji is shown to dislike Melt Narushima for his acting skills in the I'll Go With Sweet Today television drama. Therefore, with the new actor having put a lot of effort into his rehearsals, there is a good chance that he may finally redeem himself and impress the manga creator.

That said, Melt had been having trouble matching his acting skills with others from the onset. But with the stage play script having changed, he was having much more trouble. Thus, it is to be seen what secret plan Aqua Hoshino had suggested to Melt and if the same could be implemented in time.

The anime's previous episode saw Kana Arima and Taiki Himekawa intimidate Akane Kurokawa and Aqua Hoshino right before the opening of the stage play.

While Taiki was an experienced actor with no real competition within the cast, Kana had a long rivalry with Akane. Hence, she wished to defeat her in the stage play. Taiki himself thought that Akane had a slight edge over Kana when it came to acting, he was certain he could help Kana get the win against her rival.

Therefore, the upcoming episode could see Taiki and Kana set the stage ablaze, intimidating their co-stars.
